Positives:
- You walk into a glorious hotel lobby that is clean and elegant. The rooms are also spacious and kept very clean. They have a decent size bathroom with shower, fridge, and reasonable closet space, as well as a desk to work.
- It's a km walk to a big shopping district. A
-And while no good restaurants nearby (walk at least 1-2km) there are options if you walk or transit. The burger at the hotel restaurant is quite good IF they have the staff to serve you.
- Friendly staff
Negatives:
- The "spa" area was downright gross. Two staff sitting at the front desk but the change rooms had muddy footprints, and there were wet towels everywhere in the change room. The actual poolside area was the same. Every reclining bed had we towels piled on them that were clearly there for hours. Even when prompted the desk team didn't come in and clean up the area. It was not a relaxing area.
-Upstairs washrooms near restaurant also were never attended to and in poor shape.
- Restaurant understaffed such that despite being more than half empty they weren't seating customers (told to come back in an hour 2x). Frustrating as no good restaurant nearby and so those of us staying in the hotel expected to have the amenity.
- While the staff is friendly, their knowledge of the business is questionable around making local/LD calls; international calling; managing my booking which had a couple of parts that never did get linked so I had to present a credit card at the desk almost daily.
