This hotel is right next to Queen St Station and opposite Square. I had single bed. Room was spacious. Excellent water and shower facilities. Normal tea/coffee facilities. Not much interaction with staff. Reception staff Excellent. Breakfast included in my rate. Was Continental.

Very central for travellers
At check in I was told that I didn’t have breakfast booked and I had to dig out the email from months ago when I made the booking to show the receptionist that I had booked breakfast. The room was fine but I would have preferred a blind or curtains on the bathroom window instead of just frosted glass. Staff were efficient and generally friendly.

Affordable luxury
Beautiful old building on George Square, pass it often but first time we have stayed overnight. Quite grand inside, high ceilings and enormous windows. Friendly, welcoming reception. Great big room and bathroom, warm, clean and comfortable, overlooking the Square in its Christmas finery. Lovely bar and staff. Breakfast in the large, beautiful restaurant was a buffet with many hot and cold choices including a fruit bar. Excellent value for money and location couldn't be more central.

Great location, beautiful public areas and a lot of investment has been made in recent years. That said, the investment in the rooms has however not kept the same pace and are quite dated. That said, they're clean and comfortable and that is what's important!

The hotel was situated directly across from george sq with a winterfest carnival outside and yet i had a fantastic sleep .. a spacious room really helpfull staff and a comfy bed made everything perfect thanks
