Good, quick, weekend getaway!
Good and simple stay! I love the views in Parachute (really anything on the Western slope) + traffic is lower than anything East of Glenwood, so the quiet nights are perfect for peaceful sleep. The only concern was the shower set-up. They have the wrong type of shower curtain, no water barrier, which allows water out into the bathroom. We used the shower mat as a barrier which worked, but management or ownership should remediate to prevent mold and water damage. Also, I didnt mind paying the parking fee (even if we are in wide open space) because nearly every hotel in the surrounding area Glenwood is charging - the only caveat to this is that the hotel should be on the hook for damages/theft. If they are charging for "parking" they should be liable for anything that happens in their lot. All in, I spent $140 for a 2-night getaway, not bad! I'll take it, especially after hearing some parents spending between $600-1000+ on their weekend trip prior to school starting.

Hotel Stay
Great hotel for a quick stay for the family. The hospitality from the staff was excellent. There is a restaurant in the hotel but its only open on certain days. There is other food options within walking distance along with a couple of gas stations. The pool and hot tub was a big hit for the family. If I ever drive through Parachute, CO again this will be the place that I stay at.

For a $90 hotel room, in small town, with a huge parking lot, to charge additional $14 overnight is gouging. Breakfast was $10, I think. Hotel and staff fine. But come on.

The stay in itself was very good, but I hate that they nickel and dime you for everything. I think it would be more profitable for them if they raised their price a little and offered free parking, lowered their pet fee, and offered a free breakfast. Most comparable hotels do that and have no problem filling their rooms. That being said, the room was nice, the air conditioner was not as loud as many other hotels and the room was clean and appropriately stocked with toiletries. The nickel and diming would make me think twice about staying there again.
