We did not appreciate a nightly $14 parking fee. It is common to have parking fees in major centres where parking is sparse but other modes of transportation (transit, Uber, walking distances to entertainment & restaurants) are readily available. While we chose this hotel for price, it seems they choose to advertise the property at a price but charge you higher upon arrival through “parking fees”. We did not eat breakfast there, but it was a $15 charge as well from what we understood is a pretty basic breakfast that typically is free at other properties.

The desk clerk gave me a room that was already occupied. No apology, just asked if I was sure. Gave me another room. They charge $14.00 for parking. Why? Morning desk clerk said "I don't know. Not my problem". Staff here seems to have a bad attitude. They charge $15 for a buffet breakfast, which I skipped. The grounds and hotel seem well maintained and clean though. The bright spot was the lady running the restaurant/pub at night. She was all alone to do everything, but managed to stay friendly and sharp anyway. The bar-b-q brisket sandwich was good but they should lose those crinkley fries.

Great Stay
Upon entering the room, it smelled very clean and fresh. Was a nicely appointed room and bed was comfortable. The restaurant downstairs was great! Lorrie gave us superior service, the foods was delicious, and the food portions were huge!

Searched for a place that had free breakfast, this showed up as one of them, we get to the hotel and a small sign at the desk days breakfast is $15 person. They also charge around $16 for parking per night. Something I also was not aware of when booking. We made it in late, around 11pm and the staff was not very friendly. They were training someone and spent most of that time talking to the new employee and when we mentioned the two things we were unaware of they didn’t even acknowledge we had said anything just looked at us and keep going with the check in process. Accommodations were standard. Curtains wouldn’t close all the way & one of the pull rods was broken off. We just needed a place to stop and rest while doing a 21 hour drive.
