The room was OK abit small with no view. The first night was OK, slept well, the 2nd night was terrible, a massive party, lots of people making it'crowded' I like Coldplay but not when played full blast at midnight when I'm trying to sleep. I shut the windows but that made the room too hot. I asked for ear plugs but they weren't available. The room walls were paper thin so a retiring guest turned his TV on loud, then snored. By 2am I was exhausted and despairing. I asked the night porter for the TV to be turned down, which happened. I couldn't wait to leave. The grounds are beautiful. The staff polite. No lift. If they are going to host large parties they need to consider the guests who aren't part of the celebration and offer rooms away from the celebration to act as a buffer zone from the noise or provide ear plugs and an apology

There was a limited bar menu in that some items were unavailable and took a long time to arrive.Slow clearing of dirty dishes.Staff had to be asked to clear the table.Food in restaurant was just average.Rooms were clean and staff friendly.

Lovely mini break away

We had a fantastic mini break. Room was lovely. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast was tasty. Spa was a real highlight, beautiful and not too crowded. Will definitely be back!

The hotel building is attractive and its location in the countryside is a bonus. Unfortunately my experience of the bedroom was unpleasant. The carpet is stained and the room looked tired with a dated decor. The mattress was uncomfortable. Most inconvenient was the lack of soundproofing between the rooms. My neighbour had the TV on until late, then I could hear them snoring, my room was near a fire door which was opened and closed loudly. A sleepless and uncomfortable night! I’m n the plus side, the restaurant food was good.

Amazing hotel with superb food and spa area

Stayed here on business. Amazing hotel (particularly liked the spa and pool area) food was also excellent. Only slight criticism was the mattress wasn’t very comfortable and the blankets weren’t sufficient other than that was an amazing trip. Would defo revisit. Also the dressing gown supplied was far too small and had 2 both in same size. I am 6ft3 and 17 stone would be fine but the average male but I am a big guy. Other than that can’t fault it.
