It’s a motel that has been upgraded. The rooms felt like it got painted over. The rooms felt dusty and dirty, had bad allergies every time I went to the room. The body wash was not filled and empty. Do not recommend.

Usually like staying here but stayed for two nights and the cleaning people took my bed sheet off and only left the cover… not sure why they did it and didn’t realize until I got hot in the middle of the night and had no sheet!

I’m a sucker for renovated vintage motels, and this is one of the best I’ve seen. The details were all on point, from the paint colors, lighting, coffee set up in the room, water pressure in the shower, to mattress and pillows. Mostly, this hotel has accomplished what many try — a truly hopping nightlife in the bar/restaurant and outdoor fires with corn hole, etc Families and couples and groups are all having a good time and the staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Flagstaff.

Avoid back rooms if you are a light sleeper

The hotel is really beautiful! The design, service and rooms are impeccable. At night the fire pits create such a nice vibe, everyone having cocktails by the fire… we loved it! If you are a light sleeper I would call ahead and make sure you get a room in the front side of the property. We were facing back and the sound of the train kept me up at night. I wish the pool was heated since it looked soooo nice.

Neat, clean and trendy. Recently renovated property that is well maintained, convenient parking and clean facilities. They have nice outdoor areas and clean pool and hot tub area.

I like coming back to the HCML, mostly because of the amenities. The sauna and cold plunge are super cool. The general store has useful stuff and a nice vibe, so I don't mind getting a (overpriced) latte and chilling there for a bit. The rooms are clean and nice.

Great retro Route 66 Retro Motor Lodge!

We had a wonderful time at the HCML. It exceeded our expectations. We were gone during most of the morning/days, so only got to enjoy the outdoor and indoor amenities briefly. If I had an extra day on our trip I would have just spent it hanging out at HCML!
