It was okay, fast check in, good location, you can walk to the Rim. Room was okay, not stylish, but clean and functional, restaurant well…not really charming but good enough to grab something to go. Really friendly restaurant staff though.

Beautiful hotel so close to the ridge of the gran canyon. Really convenient. I got room with kitchenette so help to save some money. Clean and spacious with balcony.

Excellent hotel
Just had an excellent stay here. Highly recommend. We stayed as a family in the Shasta Building. The room appeared relatively new, and in excellent condition. The beds were large and really comfortable and everything was spotless. The kitchenette was just what we needed. The dining area had something for everyone and was reasonably priced. Really excellent.

This was a really nice place to stay. Rooms were very convenient to the main facility were they had a food court, offering a variety of food throughout the day and it was reasonably priced. We were also by the blue bus pick up are, which was very convenient, so we did not have to drive anywhere. It was very peaceful, we saw a momma deer and her baby just down the road one night while we were walking. We would definately stay here again.

The property is very nicely kept. It is an older building so you can’t expect amazing things but overall being in notional park, few minutes away from beautiful view of the Canyon with many options of good food, makes this place unforgettable…

Convenient to dining area. People there were great - above and beyond. Parking lines were difficult to see at night. Dirt covered first few feet of parking spaces.

This was a very convenient place to stay as it was so close to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. It’s not as close as other hotels but that meant that it was quieter and easy to park the car. We liked the room which had a little balcony and looked out to the forest. We also enjoyed the pizza pub and small gift shop on site.

We loved being so close to the rim. The rooms were lovely. I wasn't expecting resort style accommodations and there were some weathered aspects to our room (the plastic cover for the entry key pad on our door kept falling off) but we are in the woods in the middle of the park so that was part of the charm.

Overall, we were pleased with our stay at the lodge. Check-in/out was fast and easy. The room was spacious and comfortable. We liked having a balcony to sit on. The only thing lacking in the room was a microwave - we were really surprised there wasn't one, as it is a common feature where ever else we have stayed. We liked the convenience of being able to walk to dining. There were adequate choices, but the prices for many items was excessive - come on, $4 for cup of coffee? That's ridiculous, it's a few cents of coffee and hot water! We want to give a special thanks to Corbin at the front desk - he helped us out with different aspects of our stay that helped make our experience in the Grand Canyon a positive one.

Location was fantastic. Walking distance to the rim trail and shuttle bus stop was right in front of the property. We had a room with kitchenette in the south building and it was clean with sufficient tools to cook an easy meal. Dining options at the lodge were not great and the onsite grocery store is very expensive, so best to plan and buy items before arriving at the lodge. Staff at the lodge were friendly and helpful.

We had a terrific stay at the Maswik. So easy to walk to the Bright Angel Trail and taking the shuttle to other sections was also very easy and convenient. Food court served the purpose, but it was nothing to get excited about. Room was spacious and comfortable. Wish there had been brighter light bulbs or more lamps. It was dark in the room.

Avoid room 1202
Room 1202 is a disaster. The proximity of the room to the stairwell door means youre consistently woken by the noise of people hitting the push bar to open the door, followed by the door slamming itself closed. Each night I stayed I got terrible sleep. Aside from the late night noise, everything else really was good. The room size is surprisingly large, the balcony was a nice touch, the food is what you would expect for a food court but the entire village had good food options overall.
