Not a Three Star Hotel
No WiFi, beds were hard, rooms are in buildings away from the main building. I guess they earn a third star because they are in the park. The rooms aren't any better than a budget motel. Would only stay here if I wanted to be in the park in the cheapest place.
Our stay at Yavapai was super comfortable and restful. We loved staying in the park so we could start exploring early... and after all that hiking, to be close to the dining hall for dinner was very convenient.
It was so nice and quiet at night... plus there is a great view of the stars right outside. In the morning we saw two deer right outside the window!!
The room was very clean and spacious and the bed is comfortable. Would stay here again!
Really good lodge inside grand canyon village. Staff was really friendly and helped sharing spot locations based on day condition.

The location is wonderful and that's about it. The rooms are very dark. There isn't enough hot water for the number of rooms so if you take a shower during peak hours prepare to freeze. The service staff were totally overwhelmed with the number of guests, they needed to hire more people for busy weeks. There's very little to do after dark. No amenities, not even board games and you need to hang out in the main lodge if you want Wi-Fi.

Lovely to be right in the park - walking distance to the market/dining. LOVE the dark sky mandate -
Market pricey and dining options limited and expensive.
Property definitely old and in need of some repair but we didn't mind.
