Beautiful setting but doesn’t warrant the price tag! Biggest issue although if out all day no WiFi in all areas is a big no no. Also no room in bathrooms to put wash bags and definitely needs refurbished. Ice bucket but no ice as they had apparently had snow previously but not when we were there so expected it to work especially after buying drinks at the grocery store and then didn’t drink them. Staff abrupt and quite rude at breakfast when I asked where the cutlery was the very curt reply was “there” On checkout the female member of staff was really not helpful when mentioning issue with very loud mechanical noise from the room and we even went outside at 12.30 AM to see if others were disturbed by this. Sorry will let maintenance know. Lastly no where near enough chairs or benches outside for everyone
Very, very disappointed. Overrated and over priced
We traveled with our Australian Shepherd, Hobo, staying at the dog-friendly building at Yavapai Lodge. The room even had a kennel that Hobo was content sleeping in.
It was great to walk the RimTrail.

Good location if visiting the Grand Canyon, but it’s definitely a two star and is pretty limited with service and amenities. Convenient food at the lodge.
Guest rooms were located in wooded areas which was very nice and quiet. Shower in the room could use updating. Have to duck down to get wet. All dining options are mostly self serve with no wait staff. Thats probably the new normal these days. Overall though it was a nice experience and we would certainly stay again.
There is no heat in our room. The gentleman at the desk was nice enough. But he told us the rooms are first come first serve and the three rooms left didn’t have heat. He put a space heater in our room. It’s 24 degrees here tonight. We got here at 10 pm and were tired we just took the room. Very old. Extremely outdated. Scratchy sheets.

The room was very cozy, updated with modern amenities and huge. We stayed in other National parks but Yavapai lodge will always be in our top of the mind in terms of hospitality, amenities and value for money. Will definitely come back to explore Grand Canyon and surely stay at Yavapai.
My husband and I visited the Grand Canyon and stayed at the Yavapai Lodge. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming when we checked in. Parking was easy and convenient. You can walk from your room to the main building where there is a cafe, restaurants, and a gift shop. The room was fine, the bed was comfy. The room did have that stuffy smell. We didn’t spend much time in the room since we were out on the trials. The tavern restaurant was really good. If you decide to eat outside it does get dark and the placement of some of the outdoor tables don’t get enough light but overall it was still nice to sit outside and look at the stars. The live music was also a plus. The performers were good and sang a range of songs. Overall it was a solid stay. It’s nothing too fancy but it’s a comfy lodge stay. I would certainly stay again specifically due to the convenience of the location.
