Our stay was nice. Property is nice, but inconvenient. Breakfast items too limited, no cold water available once hotel desk is out at 9 pm. Parking somewhat limited. Otherwise a good hotel, nice suite, outdated bed comforters but does not smell.

Carpet in our room had multiple stains and appeared dirty. The decor in the room is out of date and appeared to be 30 years old. When we requested a different room, the person at the front desk indicated that no other rooms were available. Very disappointed in the condition of the property.

The room maintenance was terrible with a roof leak that is pealing back the popcorn ceiling. The sink faucet was almost impossible to operate because the handle was tight. The continental breakfast was almost nonexistent.

The room was clean supplied with hygiene products. However, the mattress was not comfortable and I didn’t get rest. The room was not supplied with a coffeemaker and coffee. The free continental breakfast was little to be desired. I felt for the price of the room there should have been more variety.

Please get rid of the internet-based smart TV, and return to real cable or satellite TV. I realize it's cheaper, but there is nothing worth watching, it buffers constantly, and I'm sure it saps the strength of the hotel wi-fi. Which brings me to the problem of weak wi-fi. I was in room 113, and I'm sure it was worse for me, being at the end of the hotel. But I had to move to the lobby to find stronger wi-fi to get my work done. This is the only negative. Apart from this annoyance, which is fixable, I love staying at the Aspen Inn.

The property is just really old. The bedding and towels don't seem clean although I'm sure they are, they are just old. I used a wash cloth and when it dried it was hard so they must be using cheap clothes soap or not switching them all out after guest check out. Plus it was very pricey for an old motel with no amenities. However, it was close to everything along the lake so I will probably stay there again.
