Room was good grandson loved the slide and the pool plenty of parking nice views only complaint was upstairs neighbors must be young Cause made noise at all kinds hours so maybe if guests in there early 20 remind them to be quiet at certain hours

We booked one of the new rooms because we needed ADA accommodations. The room was in the same new building as Charlies (restaurant) and was very nice. However there was no ice machines available in the building. The only buildings that have ice machines are A and E- the other end of the resort. They were not easily accessible and not in a lit area. It was outback behind the building (no signs pointing you in the right direction- another guest helped us locate it). The steps to get to it are also metal and sharp. Ice is definitely not suitable to use in beverages as it is not sanitary (mold on top of bin)- but we just needed it for an ice pack so it worked. When you check in you are given a number to text or call for the front desk- no one ever answered or responded to you. Pool area is busy and further away, but we were able to drive there and park in the handicap area. The restaurant Charlies Alpine Bistro was not good. They were extremely busy and understaffed, which we expected as they were newer. However, the food was horrible and expensive for what you get. We got the tender tips appetizer, and it was boiled steak. The pasta primavara was basically noodles with stewed tomatoes on it- no flavor at all! The burrata crostini was the only thing that had good flavor!

It was amazing but the futon in the living area was flat with no cushion kind of uncomfortable but everything else was great . We would definitely go back .

Beds Were awful. Especially one that should just be thrown out it’s so bad. I wasn’t happy to get a call at 8:30 pm while I’m in bed about to go to sleep. Front desk was asking us to move rooms. Absolutely ridiculous. They must have messed up a reservation so they start calling other guests. Room needs to be updated and walls could use some paint. Door sticks and need to slam door shut hard to close it. Overall not the greatest experience I’ve had.

Nice place, although food options are minimal during the summer. Drove to Grand Marais for dinner which was actually a nice excursion. The fireplace in the room would be nice for a winter stay
