When we tried to use the TV it did not work. Someone came while we were at dinner. Unable to get it to work. Said we would get a 10% discount on our prepaid bill Seems rather low for the inconvenience. Also the wi-fi is painfully SLOOOW!!

Property needs to updating and work. No microwave or ice machines, need to put a sign outside to locate the entrance for rooms on second floor, room we had was outdated, stains on carpet, nothing on walls

Check in was seamless! We were arriving on motorcycles a bit earlier than the scheduled check-in time and texted the property to see what was possible, and the property manager was very generous and accommodating. She had the cleaning staff clean our room next so that by the time we arrived it would be ready. Room was modern and spotless, felt like a European aparthotel type place. VERY comfy bed, we even peeked at the mattress brand and took a picture because we might replace our home mattress with this kind. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Grand Marais, and we'd definitely stay here again when we're back in that area. Thank you to the property managers for a wonderful stay!

We had the junior suite, which was a last minute booking. Contacted phone number and gave code for door immediately, was super nice and helpful. Room was great, no issues. Enjoyed our stay. I was a little worried given the reviews, but at least this suite was great for our stay and expectations.

The property is in terrible condition. The building is very old and run down. We saw exposed wires, torn outside carpets and pealng paint. There has been some limited work done in the room to decorate but amenities are very limited. The tile grout in the bathroom has black, possibly mold spots. The tub has a yellow ring. There is no signage to direct you to your room. We tried to find an alternate hotel but nothing was available so we reluctantly stayed the night. Room rate was way over priced given the quality of the product.

Lovely modernized motel

Very central location right across from the water. Plenty of parking. The room was very comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The owners were very nice and helpful. They seem to be updating everything. Bathroom was all brand new. They upgraded us to a two king suite so we could be close to our friends. The room was extremely nice! I would suggest requesting a room on the water side though. The rooms in the back off of the parking lot or less appealing while they still looked extremely updated and clean the entrance is not as nice.

Old and tired motel.

Old and tired motel. Carpets were stained. Window didn't open. Old paneling and drop acoustic ceiling. Ceiling fan with no blades. The cable tv did not work but we did get help right away.

The bed was great but the ceiling fan was broken, the hot water took forever to warm, the screen door did’t latch and the door frame in the bathroom had a missing piece of wood. The room definitely needed an upgrade.
