The layout of the rooms at the end of the hallways was unique and offered a bit of extra privacy.

We had a room on the 2nd floor at first. The stairwell and 2nd floor smelled strongly of marijuana and people were hanging out in the hallways and stairwell. There was a plastic mattress pad that was ripped and bunched up under the sheet, and the mattress was stained and dirty. We moved to a room in the 1st floor as it was too late to leave and find a different hotel. The room was reasonably clean but the other guests were loud around us. There seemed to be a large proportion of long term guests at this hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Don't believe the pictures as they were taken many years ago. Everything was nasty! You can't smoke cigarettes in the room but by the smell of the hallway Marijuana is allowed. Had to turn keycards in twice because they wouldn't unlock the door and even when they worked for the room didn't work for the outside doors to get in. The top sheet on the bed was sideways and the bottom wasn't tucked. The sofa sleeper was a complete joke. One arm of the couch was broken off so when you pulled it out it was about as unlevel as it could be. The room rates were double what they normally are because there was so much going on in GR but I wish I would've spent the money to stay elsewhere.

Please Clarion check this place out

From the door not opening with the key, to the outside, being told the maint. man was very busy, to the burned smell in the elevator and in my room. Found the plug in bathroom had shorted and burned previous. Music playing until 4a.m. outside the window. Not a good smell walking in. Employees coming to work with blankets and wrapping themselves up. Guess they are not allowed to turn up the heat. Parking lot filled with debris, trash dumpster overflowing, car in parking lot missing a tire was up on a block. No hookups for computers in room to charge. Very disappointing stay, If I hadn't prepaid I would have run away not walked. The best thing about the Clarion was the breakfast. .Trash can out front used for spitting tobacco and evidence of same all over the ground next to it.
