A nice family stay, quiet village pub. The host was very helpful including recommending an evening meal in the next village which was great (fighting cocks pub). It seems the venue has stopped doing food, but having said that she still provided us with a perfectly good breakfast. The room was clean, a nice little street village view, we all slept well. Great for country walking, a family visit and somewhere quieter in a local pub.
The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It is off the beaten track but easy to find with GPS. The food was very good. The service was very good and the manageress was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet.
A really Nice place to stay with a very attentive host in Kayleigh. The area itself is really nice and quiet with good for walkers.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Our welcome was fine and kind since we were early. They kindly invited us to eat fish and chips from a local van - no food on Mondays we hadn’t noticed, in the bar with a lovely fire and a drink.
Had to replace outside light but done immediately. Lavatory seat broken, told them,
Overall very good The Landlord and Lady were away the first night. So a lady Cath was running the show The place was busy with food and drink orders She was amazing running the bar serving up food everything went very smoothly and she looked after us very well nothing was to much trouble .
Room was dirty with sweet wrapper bits on the floor. Had not seen a Hoover or a duster recently. Tired decor and furniture. Certainty not the deluxe room we had booked.
Bath was dirty and needed to be cleaned before use. only one set of towels in the room. Despite booking for 2 people. Breakfast was at 9am not from or too...AT!
We went to the wrong High Street. Our fault. However, the staff waited for us on a late arrival.
The bed was really comfortable and the full English breakfast was excellent.
Thank you.
Highly recommended!! What lovely people and beautiful village. Just off the A1, but far enough away to escape to an idyllic village. Great breakfast too. Close to Woolsthorpe. We'll definitely be back 👍😁
Very friendly & welcoming , clean rooms , excellent food

The Royal Oak is the an absolute gem. Set in a beautiful little village with very friendly locals.
The staff were so friendly and helpful and really made our stop over a delight.
We dined in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. The rooms were very clean and quiet which is what you want after a long drive. I’d definitely recommend to all. Thank you for having us.
Comfortable room with nice new bathroom . Very good food which was made fresh and piping hot Pleasant staff who were very welcoming . Good parking facilities . .
The pub itself is ‘oldy worldy’ and is situated in a quiet rural village but would benefit from some updating in the bar/restaurant .
