Property very clean but needs updating as the family room we had definitely needed new beds. When in the bed mattress was so soft that it wasn’t straight and you felt like you were rolling out of bed due to people sitting on the edge over years. The single beds were so light that they moved across the room but also had very soft mattress and one had a great dip in the middle.

Lovely short break
Booked the bridal room. Lovely room. Spacious with a lovely view of the lake and a four poster bed. There was an event on at the hotel on the night of our stay but it didn't disturb us. Breakfast was a bit disappointing but edible. Overall a good hotel

The overall impression of the hotel was that although it was clean it looked so tired and out dated. Our bath was badly chipped and marked which was off putting. The tv in the room was tiny and high on the wall. The communal areas looked a little 70's but again were all very clean.

I was “upgraded” to a room under a hallway (I presume), there were sounds of children running above my room at many hours. The room had access to lake-side patio but that made it feel less secure as it was shared with everyone. Decor is in major need of updating. Had a bath, nice. Breakfast area has weird ordering of breakfast, person who was manning the area and taking orders clearly doesn’t like the job as I couldn’t feel how much I was inconveniencing him. Location and price were good

Lake and natural environment away from the car park is beautiful, but the hotel is tired, and needs a refurbish, everything is outdated ans needs a refresh from the furniture to the towels, the staff are deflated, and reflect the atmosphere of this uncared for unkept tired hotel. If it wasn't for the lake this would have been an awful stay, we were lucky it was one night.

Just off the busy A2 so very convenient and surprisingly quiet. We had a room overlooking the lake which was a pleasant surprise. Hotel has a retro feel.
