On our way to the festival we were going to be attending in Greensboro this weekend, we had a medical emergency. While in the hospital, I contacted the hotel to let them know we were going to have to cancel the reservation. Understanding it was too late to cancel for that night, I was hoping to cancel the next night and get a refund. I was told because we had booked through Expedia, we needed to contact them. It was not until well after midnight that I was able to contact Expedia. They opened a ticket. I have just been informed there will be no credits coming our way. Thank you so much Hampton Inn for making a difficult situation so much worse.
Overall, it was a great stay. Jalisa was very friendly and even took it upon herself to put us in a room on the third floor that was on the same floor as the parking deck so we didn't have to use the elevators. The size and cleanliness of the room were more than what we expected. We will be staying here again in a couple of weeks.
Great location!! Hotel was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The air conditioning was not working properly. Would not cool down. Called front desk around midnight 4 times to ask if they had fans and no one answered. We went down to the lobby and there was someone at the desk but they did not answer the phone when we had just called.

I'm annoyed that I was double charged for the room on the first night and though the staff fixed it, I was again overcharged for the rest of the stay. I was told when I booked that I'd be charged a $50 fee for incidentals that would be refunded within 2 business days after checkout. Well, they charged me more after checkout for no reason! I won't be back.
Noisy from the freight trains blowing their horn approaching one or two crossings near hotel. They go by and blow all night long. We were on the side of the hotel facing the tracks. Perhaps the opposite side would be quieter.
Went to check in at 6pm, I was told room wasn’t ready yet which is weird because normal check in is 3pm. Staff called house keeping and they found a room for me. When we went to the room, it wasn’t really clean. The sink was dirty which looked like vomit or something. Also there wasn’t a TV remote.
