THE VIEW!!!!! Seriously the view was everything and more. I booked a Superior on the 6th floor and have thee best pictures from this trip. Its your basic room, nothing exciting, but the view and LOCATION.... yes BOOK IT! Yes, there are homeless around because you're in "the centro" but thats gonna be everywhere around here.
The cathedral at night is a MUST SEE.

Great location, poor parking directions and entran

It is a minimalist hotel a little bit tight. It has a great location but, parking is hard to find, maybe a little bit of direction should be better. And a comment to where to go since it does not have a street entrance.

The hotel is convenient and located near many nice landmarks. However, it is an old building in a not-so-fancy location. My room had a view of the park, which was a plus. However, we encountered many issues with our card key, as it easily got discharged. They have good beds and clean sheets. They have a restaurant, and breakfast is included. The main entrance is a bit scary, as they have a plaza full-time for homeless people. The plaza is a bit insecure, but the security personnel will give you good advice; please listen to them.

I've stayed at this property a number of times over the last 5-6 years. Without a doubt, it is perfectly located in the historic center of GDL. However, the property needs a facelift. It is showing it's wear and tear and lack of everyday upkeep. Towel racks in the bathrooms are loose. Paint is peeling in many locations. The laminate floors are worn out. Formica counters are damaged, unrepaired and ugly not just in the rooms, but common areas as well. It remains a reasonable value, especially with the included breakfast, but I am not sure I will return to this location.
