Wonderful

The hotel was very nice. But the booking is such a headache to process. We booked though Travelocity, and due to the hotel’s no free cancellation policy, we had to pay the cost ahead, which is fine. But when we checked in the hotel, we were told that we had to pay again. By the time we checked out, there was no power and WiFi, can’t use the same credit card as the one we paid with before. So we paid off with WeChat pay ( popular in China ), and of course it has no receipt from the hotel. Called the owner that lives in another city, and was told the amount you paid before was just a deposit hold in third party and you will get a refund (we had two separate bookings for two days). We are back in United States a week later now, and haven’t seen any refunds processed yet. I guess I have to though credit card company disputes. Such a headache experience for this kind of booking. All other 18 days in China with other hotel bookings were excellent with Travelocity. I guess it was just this hotel’s policy. I won’t recommend this hotel.

The view fron the terrace and the rooms here is incredible. The staff are lovely and the hotel is very clean. Don't trust Google maps location, this hotel is high up in Longji village.

Small village in the rice terraces
This place is a hike up from the parking lot in Dazhai (where buses drop you off), so if you have heavy luggage then either be very careful or agree to have someone carry it for you (there will be women offering to do this). I had a bad fall on the hike up there, but once I arrived they were very helpful and gave me ice and some medicine. The views are incredible, and there are lovely paths to explore through the rice terraces. The food is good. The room was a bit small, but overall it was a relaxing environment.
The accommodation was basic, as expected in a village. The views are superlative.
The village ladies who carried our heavy luggage were amazing, great characters & became firm friends (even though we had no language in common).
Lin was extremely helpful & attentive. The home cooked food was delicious.
Don't miss the chance to stay here!

Great views of rice terraces worth 40 min. hike
Though their fluency in English is limited, the staff is very friendly. The view of the rice terraces is amazing from this hotel and is worth the 40-minute hike. The rooms are simple and the beds are comfortable. The rest room could have been cleaner but was better than average, compared to other hotels in the country.
My boyfriend and I travelled for two weeks in China and staying here was one of our favorite parts of the trip! The hike uphill was exhausting but absolutely worth it. The views are just stunning.
Hannah, one of the inn's owners, warmly greeted me (by name!) when we arrived. She made us feel like we were a part of the family. My only complaint was that the bed was a little hard, but that's all. Highly recommended!
