The staff went out of their way to accommodate us when our flight was cancelled by Air Canada. We were very grateful for the manager’s rate we were offered as a courtesy for the disruption even though it had nothing to do with the hotel!

The location of the hotel was great. Only 5 min from Dalhousie University. The Chocolate lake was very scenic and the restaurant was located overlooking the balcony which was great. The front desk staff, kitchen and restaurant staff as well as the cleaning staff were very polite, kind, pleasant and helpful. Breakfast (free) and dinner was delicious. Great coffee machine in the lobby.

The hotel was very clean and well cared for. All the staff that i encountered were super friendly and helpful, every employee acknowledged you. The restaurant has wonderful food, the prime rib dip was amazing and i highly recommend it. The grounds are wonderful for relaxing by the lake, super peaceful. I really enjoyed my stay

The lawn area by the lake was very nice, we liked that a lot. The king size bed was very comfortable and the air exchange was very good. Over all it was a very nice stay. You need a rating between good and excellent because it was better than just good, but I rarely give excellent for anything.

Don’t bother going here

Sub par. We have stayed here many times and it’s sure gone down hill. Lack of towels and face clothes and soaps in rooms Staff is less than friendly A smile wouldn’t kill you Don’t bother complaining because nothing will get done. For $900 for two nights we could have slept in the car for free and not much of a difference Sorry won’t be back

The food and service in the restaurant were excellent! The room was perfect for what we needed and the price. A few items around the hotel (in the gym and arcade and vending machines) needed attention. The only real downside were the rooms at the back of the hotel seemed to be occupied by guests who were loud and oblivious to the fact that there were a lot of families at the hotel.
