The location was convenient with the boardwalk and the ferry terminal being only a 2 minutes walk away and the citadel being 5 minutes away was extremely convenient.

We booked the two queen beds bedroom with living area and kitchenette. We had lots of room to sleep 6 and room to spread out with the separate bedroom. You are right downtown Halifax so you can walk the boardwalk, see all of the sights and take in the restaurants and nightlife. Great experience.

Flags outside our room were very loud with the wind blowing all night, room was very hard to heat. Floors were freezing, we had to turn heat up to 30 to get some warmth in room. We did not complain or advise the staff. They were busy so we made do.

We have stayed here once a year for the past few years. This year we noticed the property needs a great deal of maintenance. The pool area ceiling is in terrible shape. There was a table with a rusted bottom that left a huge rust spot on the floor. In our suite, there were marks all over the walls, stains on the carpet and the furniture was in rough shape. The towel rack was broken and I cleaned up the dust, which was concerning because it’s an old building so who knows if it contains asbestos. We didn’t get the layout of suite we booked but we didn’t mention it. We booked two queens and we got double beds. The staff are sweet, but the building is really aging and it’s showing.

My girls and I had an amazing stay, we were treated like royalty from the minute we walked in until we departed the hotel, the young fellow at the Desk I wish I had gotten his name upon arrival and check out was top notch and to the server in the Cannery (Aspin) was his name, the customer service is what will definitely bring us back for another girls night at your hotel, thank you so much.
