Standard room with a king is very small. I was asked if I wanted and upgrade, said yes, when I checked in it wasn’t available Suggest you don’t ask if you don’t deliver! On positive side, hotel is in a great location.

This hotel really is perfect. Looks and feels like everything is brand new. Room and bathroom are decent sized. Large windows with great city view. Conveniently located with a number of excellent restaurants in close walking distance. Breakfast is good and reasonably priced. The waterfront area is very touristy and a bit honky tonk. There is no reason to stay at a hotel close to the waterfront.

Great hotel and staff

The room was exceptionally comfortable. The staff went out of their way to be of assistance. I loved where the hotel was located. It was very convenient to downtown Halifax.

This hotel is beautiful and upscale. With floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom, the view was stunning. The staff were fantastic, and we especially appreciated the valet service. The restaurant was open until midnight with a full menu which made a late arrival into Halifax very convenient. Thank you for an excellent stay!

The Sutton is an excellent hotel. It’s clean, safe, and extremely central. It’s a 10 minute or so walk to every downtown restaurant, tourist attraction, and the waterfront. The staff are helpful, the rooms are very big and nice. It’s on the high end on pricing but was well worth it. My wife and I had an awesome stay and loved Halifax.
