Worst ever experience, total scam

I am not sure why this is still on hotels.com despite all the bad reviews. It is a total scam. The registration process is automated and not smooth. The instructions are sent but miss important details like registration number. We had to figure it out ourselves. The room is very small with no fan available. If you keep the window open, the noise level is very high making it impossible to do anything. If you close the window, it gets too hot. When you contact the support number given, they refuse to acknowledge any of your contact details concerns and don't respond to your basic needs like requesting a portable fan. I needed an iron but they did not respond. It is also a very dodgy place and did not feel safe. The toilets are separate from the room, like a hostel not a proper room. Please look at other options instead of this. I have a meeting to attend but now unable to iron the clothes for it. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. I am writing the review as soon as I got emailed about it at 2 am because of the awful and terrible experience.

The hotel was wonderful. We loved the attic room with the cool air coming through the window. However the area around the hotel didn’t feel safe. It was close to the main train station which is why we chose it. I would not be going out after dark in that neighbourhood.

Hotel was secure and close to the train station. Staff were friendly and professional. Room was large and cleaned every day. Shower was powerful and water was hot. The room didn't have a window that could be opened - so there wasn't much fresh air. And the window that was there had no curtain, blind, etc. - so it did get very bright very early each morning. And the area around the hotel is a bit sketchy, a few homeless people and drunks and drug users (although they left me alone and I never felt unsafe).

I wouldn't hesitate to give this a rating of 0 or below zero if possible. The reception staff are truly terrible troublemakers with no respect for customers. Consider checking elsewhere, as they're always trying to extract money, offering various excuses. I don’t recommend it to anyone seeking a decent and enjoyable time in the city. The place is filled with drunkards and drug dealers. Now you have the information you need.

We paid for 2 double beds and ensuite, but were but in a room with one double bed and the bathroom was down the corridor. When we went to reception the next day, we were told reception was closed. Even the man was there. The room was fine but annoying as we had paid extra for the convenience of having an ensuite and 2 beds and didnt get it.

The shower had mold all over it we didn’t even shower at all !!! It was dirty we found a key in the bed !! Outside disgusting garbage everywhere and a lot of drunks was outside the main door ! Check in is not in the same building would be nice if they tell u this when u book we had to Carry 6 suitcases back and forth ! Elevator only goes to 4th floor last floor u have to carry ur luggage !! We had to open the window because it was hot in there and outside was loud music we had to listen to !!

Never got to the hotel! My original search was "hotel in Hamburg with free airport shuttle".. Check in Hamburg was located in an area where we thought we could see quite a bit of the city walking in an afternoon, evening and morning before our flight to London. When the contact number was called I was curtly told that they did not have an airport shuttle. Asking to cancel, again curtly informed it was prepaid and non-refuindable, to contact Expedia about a refund.

Mehr Hostel als Hotel.

Self check-in Automat erkennt Personalausweis nicht, Daten müssen dann manuell eingegeben werden. Eine vom Automaten geforderte Buchungsnummer war in keiner einzigen Email des "Hotels" ersichtlich und musste telefonisch erfragt werden. Nach erfolgtem, konplizierten Check-in dann die nächste Enttäuschung bei kaputtem Fahrstuhl und Zimmer um dritten Stock. Das hierbei durchquerte Treppenhaus war recht altbacken und glänzte nicht gerade durch Sauberkeit. Das Zimmer selbst hatte eher was voneinen Hostel, im Zimmer waren lediglich die Betten, zwei metallische Machttische und ein altbackener Schreibtisch enthalten - selbstverständlich für das Flair auch alles etwas ältere Möbelstücke. Das an das Zimmer angrenzende Badezimmer hat wohl auch schon länger keine Sanierung mehr erlebt. Abgesehen von dem wirklich sehr engen Badezimmer in dem man sich gerade so allein fertig machen konnte bot die Dusche eine circa 30-40cm hohe Einstiegskante und das Wasser sanmelte sich beim Duschen in der wanne. Der Bewegungsmelder im Badezimmer erkannte auch Bewegungen in der Dusche nicht, sodass es mittendrin plötzlich dunkel wurde. Suspekt war auch die Halterung der Lampe im Schlafzimmer, die optisch wirklich SEHR stark an eine Kamera erinnert. Bei dem dort angebrachten "Kronleuchter" hingen schon die Plastikperlen/Diamanten unterschiedlich tief, ein Leuchtmittel war defekt, ein anderes fehlte völlig. Abschließend ein sehr überteuerter Preis für die reine Schlafgelegenheit. Eine Bar existiert nicht.
