Great Stay at The Henri Hotel

Hotel is located close to Central Station and within easy access of the underground network. Staff were fantastic and very helpful as a first time visitor to Hamburg. Would definitely stay here again

The hotel is great, but there is a construction area just opposite to the hotel... I was notified about it, but AFTER I made a booking. On my opinion such things should be known in advance, because for some people it could be crucial... Except of it, everything else was just perfect, the lobby and rooms are very stylish and cosy, the breakfast is excellent as well.

Construction site spoiling a great hotel

Great hotel that I have stayed at numerous times. Unfortunately major building works directly opposite meant construction noise from 0700 until after 2200. Will be avoiding until the works are finished but will return when things are back to normal

We had a fantastic stay here. Room was nice and clean, nicely decorated, good amenities and super powerful shower! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and really liked the self-service fridge for (reasonably priced) drinks. Good location near the train station. Can't fault it. Only issue was building work on an adjacent building site started quite early in the morning on Saturday and woke us up, but can't blame the hotel for that. Would definitely stay here or at another in the chain in another city. Danke.

Good convenient hotel stay

Good little 2 night stay. Functional but quirky. Good location. Generally clean. Good shower. Good espresso machine in room. Some building work opposite but didn’t affect us as up early. My be bothersome to those that want to sleep in later.

Great hotel right in the center of town

Love Henri Hotel Hamburg Downtown and come here every year for the Christmas market. The hotel is right in the center of town a few minutes walk from the central station. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and did everything to make sure my room was ready early. The rooms are really nice and modern - so always feels like a treat coming here.

Excellent location with great staff

The hotel is very well located for visiting the city - the main station is 5-10 mins walk from the S1 platform if coming from airport that way & there are 2 underground stations & several bus stops within a few minutes walk. The staff were excellent, really working hard & extremely helpful. breakfast was great & well stocked - it ran for a long time on weekends. Luggage was stored if arriving early or checking out before leaving the city. We didn't use the gym/sauna so can't comment on those. Unfortunately there were 2 "downers" when we were there: 1. The lift wasn't working (Thurs to Mon) so it was quite a trek but the staff kindly carried our cases for us - hopefully it is resolved by now. 2. There is major construction work directly opposite the hotel which starts at 07.00 every day, except Sunday - we were warned by the hotel of potential disruption & as most, if not all hotel rooms face the construction works, there is no avoidance of the noise unless you have very good ear plugs or are a deep sleeper. That said, the staff did their utmost to compensate for both these issues and I would be happy to stay again, even as a light sleeper - there was no noise after 5pm or so . Thanks for a good break

I have stayed here on 3 occasions. I come back because it's an elegant, welcoming, friendly and relaxed stay. Rooms are stylishly furnished, spacious with comfortable beds and excellent shower in spotless bathroom. Breakfast was tasty with a wide variety served buffet style. The staff is always helpful but , on this occasion, exceptionally so. I stayed for four nights but on the third day a problem developed with the lift and it was out of action for a few days. As I was on the fourth floor, this presented problems. Stairs, particularly four flights of them, are not easy for me. When I said this to the lady at reception, she was very helpful and secured me a room on the first floor. This was kind and much appreciated. It struck me that If every hotel I stayed in had a lady as charming, friendly, helpful and efficient as the one I met here, it would be hard to choose where to stat. For Hamburg, it's definitely here.

The self serve bar and breakfast room works well. The only difficulty we had was finding the hotel entrance. The entrance is unobtrusive and located in a back lane. Great place once you know where the entrance is.
