Very little of the facilities were functioning; no restaurant & no breakfast. The walls are quite thin and the neighbouring families were noisy, up until about 1am. The room was hot due to the hot weather, but no one on reception to ask for a fan. I wouldn’t recommend it as it was more like a hostel and didn’t set me up well for my meetings in Hamburg. I would

Great value and good location
There are a ton of stairs so don’t bring heavy luggage. Great location next to 150 bus stop or 10 minute walk to 62 ferry. Old hotel so creaky and not very quiet but very beautiful and charming. I didn’t have hot water in sink or shower. The tea kettle upon arrival was such a treat. Slept great, could have used another pillow or one that wasn’t deflated and flat.

A nice hotel with friendly staff in the centre of Finkenwerder. There are lots of shops and a few restaurants within easy walking distance.

The room was a more recent addition one floor down overlooking car park and housing, so had natural light and if you drove you would be able to see your car etc. We used Bus 150 which was convenient for stops for our visit to area beyond river Elbe and for going into Hamburg. Breakfast more than adequate, with some hot/ lots of cold items. Happy.

Für eine Nacht okay
Obwohl angegeben war, dass der Check-in um 13 Uhr beginnt, wurde die Rezeption erst um 14:00 Uhr geöffnet und ich musste so lange mit meinem Sohn im Kinderwagen vor der Tür stehen. Danach konnten wir dann aber relativ schnell ein geräumiges Zimmer im Erdgeschoss beziehen. Ein Babybett wurde dann auch sehr schnell von einer freundlichen Mitarbeitenden gebracht, inklusive Bettwäsche. Man merkt, dass das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen und sanierungsbedürfig ist. Es riecht etwas muffig und im Bad war schwarzer Schimmel an den Decken. Ansonsten aber in Ordnung. Für eine Nacht ist es okay. Das Frühstück war gut, aber leider teilweise ungekühlt. Die Brötchen waren schön warm und es gab auch leckere Croissants.

Die erste von zwei gebuchten Nächten war Katastrophe pur! Statt im Hotel in einer Monteursunterkunft in anderem Haus, null Komfort, schmutzig, laute Nachbargeräusche, offene Verteilerdosen im Bad, Rollenhalter defekt, kaputte Badtür … Ich könnte noch endlos aufzählen. Ich habe um ein anderes Zimmer gebeten, wurde abgelehnt. Erst nach massiven Beschwerden am nächsten Tag bekam ich ein Einzelzimmer im Hotel selbst; dieses war soweit o.k. Und entsprach auch der Beschreibung. Noch einmal würde ich dieses Hotel nicht buchen!

Beim Bett war der Lattenrost in der Mitte komplett unbrauchbar , gebrochene Leisten , Gummi Federn die nicht gehalten haben. Der Lattenrost wurde schon provisorisch geflickt. Auf dem Boden lagen Haare, Fußnägel und die Wände und Vprhänge waren fleckig. Das Hotelzimmer lag im Keller und war sehr hellhörig. Das Personal wurde auf das Lattenrost angesprochen und es wurde nicht repariert, selbst als das Zimmer aufgehübscht wurde ( reinigen konnte man es nicht nennen) , wurde die Matratze einfach nur wieder raufgelegt . Eine absolute Frechheit und einfach nur schlecht. Hätten wir nicht vorher schon bezahlt , wir haben uns so geärgert .
