Small boutique hotel in the middle of the city, only a minute walk from the busy street with local restaurants, 5 minute walk from the central station, but it is totally quiet and secluded. The hotel has two sites, the main building and an apartment building which is only seconds away. The main building has a breakfast place and bar with a beautiful courtyard. Simple and elegant. The apartment rooms are roomy and just feel like living in Hamburg. Highly recommended.
Friendly employees and a nice breakfast buffet. Two surprising parts; - no 24-hour reception, - (maybe it was a mistake), queen-size bed but 90 cm wide duvet on top. I had no power to ask for a proper one, so I settled with it. Also, it would be nicer to have more than one piece of bath towel, even for a one-night stay. There was a very good sunlight and ght control in the room, you could make it very dark when it needs to be.
The service at reception was excellent, very friendly and patient team. I didn’t have breakfast but I know I will next time I stay in Hamburg since I will definitely try to stay here whenever I have business in the city!
The main building of the hotel is beautiful with a garden at the back where you can sit and relax. The rooms are small, but modern and nice.
My room was in another building, the ‚blue house‘, across the street. The room was very basic and towards the street with a lot of noise at night.
Welcomed by a very pleasant team who seemed genuinely committed to ensuring my comfort. The room was small (and advertised as such) but had everything necessary for a short visit. Location is great: safe, lively and convenient to the hauptbahnhof and city transit. Breakfast was delicious.

Hotel is good, blue building not as good
This time I stayed in the Blue building. Rooms and building were not as nice as the main building as where I stayed before. The blue building feels like it is not finished. People are friendly.
The hotel consists of 5 different buildings. Check-in was in one building and my room was in another building down the street. There are no elevators and floors start with 0 instead of 1.
When I booked my room I noted that I needed a ground floor or 1st floor room due to ACL reconstruction and ankle reconstruction surgery. (My trip to Germany was 3 weeks and I knew my luggage would be heavy.) However, when I checked in I was given a room on the 4th floor. The hotel does not have people to help with luggage.
The room did not have air conditioning. Which would have been fine but it was really hot.
This hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and the main train station.
If I had lighter luggage and it was cooler weather I would have enjoyed my stay much more.
Fantastic location, very pleasant and convenient. Quirky and simple hotel with amazing bathrooms. Lack of air conditioning let it down in the hot summer!
I stayed here for three nights and it’s taken me another three to catch up on sleep! AWFUL mattresses, old and cheap. The first night I was awake every hour trying to sleep in a sagging mattress that had my back aching in two hours (I’m 40, fit and usually sleep like a cat). The room was a single in their ‘blue house’ which looked nothing like the pictures of the single on the website. It was so narrow I could barely get my case down the side of the bed- which was subsequently scuffed from everyone else doing the same. It felt like a cheap hostel and I certainly wasn’t spending another night in it! They changed my room with no fuss, and apologised that the rooms in the ‘blue house’ are ‘less recently renovated’. Hmm. The second room was better, though the mattress was still soft and lumpy.
I got the feeling this hotel spent their budget on the concrete walls and had run out when it got to the important stuff like mattresses and towels (which were small and thin, just not good quality). I got a ‘special deal’ pre-paid on this site, 250 euros for three nights- the rooms wouldn’t justify the price even with a sleepable mattress but honestly, I’d not sleep there again for any price. It’s a shame!
It was otherwise clean and the staff are friendly enough.
Great, recently renovated hotel. No breakfast area due to ongoing renovation. Breakfast area was temporarily moved to cafe nearby. Renovation was done greatly! Nice, new and spacious rooms in good area for great price
Warm welcome from helpful staff. The hotel is characterful and has a friendly atmosphere. The hotel is quite quirky, but in a good way. The decor feels a bit tired in places - the photographer did a good job! - and the entrance to the blue building is slightly stark/industrial feeling. The facilities in the rooms are also pared back - no hairdryer, kettle, plain blackout material curtain etc - but there was an umbrella (a nice touch as you have to cross the street for breakfast) and there was complimentary bottled water. Single duvets on double beds was interesting, although not a problem as our bookings were for single occupants of each room. Beds were comfortable and we both slept well. The surrounding area had plenty of interesting places at which to eat - we opted for Cox's, which turned out to be a good choice. They accept only Maestro, American Express and cash, but were relaxed about me popping out to the nearby cash point at the end of the meal. The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk into the centre with the picturesque lake nearby. I would stay there again.
Lovely little unassuming hotel on a quiet side street in a charming section of Hamburg. Delightful staff, understated decor with an emphasis on books (!), great bed and bathroom, a nice breakfast, and a great location for me, very close to the train station.
Room was designed using a lot of wood, quite pleasant, but nothing fancy. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are nicer than the lobby or hotel itself, which is quite basic.
