The hotel itself is clean like any other holidays inn. First day I was there, my family and I were getting ready to go out and the fire alarm went off. My wife and I had to run out of the building with our 3 toddlers. one of the elevators wasn't working properly, The bathroom door lock was not working. Its a new building so there are lots of small issues they need to fix. there is no pool. I think so many little things happened that we don't think its worth paying $200 a night. Would not be coming back to this hotel
Awful experience. Someone from their call center told me over the phone that I could pay the incidental deposit with my debit card, but when I arrived, the story changed. I was met by a very rude staff member who didn’t try to understand the issue or take responsibility for the mistake. All they did was repeat their policy over and over, instead of acknowledging that the problem started with their own team. I wasn’t looking for an argument—I needed a solution. Because of their misinformation, I was left without a place to stay. It was unacceptable and poorly handled.

Bathroom needs to have counter lower

This was our experience at the hotel however many hotels not only Holiday Inn have the same experience
Idea, use someone im a wheelchair to help you with your accessibility standard when designing a room
I received misinformation from the staff all the three times I called the hotel to confirm reservation, because I wanted everything to go smoothly. Unfortunately, my guest had to wait for more than 30 minutes to get checked in. Our guests were elderly and were staying there for a week but I was not at all impressed with the service, it lacked the quality service we expected
At first impression we thought the hotel and room were very nice. In appearance, they were. However, once checked in and in our room we had issues that were not resolved even with asking the Front Desk clerk for help.
The blinds on the large window are supposed to close with a remote. They did not work, even when front desk clerk tried. This meant our room was lit up from street and business sogn lights all night.
The toulet paper holder holds 2 rolls but it kept flipping over and almost off the wall. Broken.
The breakfast was not very good. Pancakes were a gummy texture. Apples had rotten spots on them. Muffin very dry. Scrambled eggs cold. The boiled egg in fridge was very good and coffee was good.
Did not realize cost of stay was in U.S dollars. I have an Expedia app and didn’t realize it wasn’t Canadian. The staf was quite rude at the front desk when I questioned the cost. I guess it was my error, but the person told me that because I used a service provider there was going to be an additional charge. Also, coming in on a Saturday, I was not aware that there would be no cleaning service in the room I.e. towels, bed making , coffee supplies, cups, creamer etc. We were equipped with 2 styrofoam cups. Three Kerrigan pods and 2 packets of non dairy creamer for a 2 day stay. I can make my own bed and realize that changing sheets every day may environmentally unfriendly, but I feel the cost was exorbitant for what we received.
The hotel is fairly new and very clean. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Included breakfast very delicious with hot and cold options. Rooms were clean with all required amenities.
