Unfortunate experience
We checked in and were given a room on the second floor the room was ok apart from the headboard on the bed someone had decided to wipe the contents of their nose all over it which was not acceptable and had not been cleaned off. When i complained and showed the staff the photo of it they did move us to another room which was ok but it had a smaller bed and a sofa bed they did give us a drinks voucher for the inconvenience. In the morning we went down for breakfast all i can say was chaos no hot food and people everywhere tables were not being cleared and nearly everything was running out constantly. Had to move the dirty plates cups and glasses to the side of the table when we sat down to have what breakfast was avaialble. When we went to check out they did apologise about breakfast.

Staff were excellent - though overworked and struggling to keep the dining area stocked over breakfast time. Hotel facilities were great although one or two items in the rooms were not quite working efficiently - e.g. toilet flush, shower pressure.

Stayed here for 6 nights, the location was perfect for me. We really enjoyed our stay, all the staff we spoke to were very friendly. Definitely return when back in the area. Some points to note our room 219 had poor lighting and a side table next to bed was missing over the 6 day stay, not ideal if you are wanting a drink during the night. Breakfast service on the 29th was not great, all hot breakfast items dishes were empty as were some of the cold items on the buffet, not ideal when it was perfect all stay until the day you are checking out to catch a long haul flight.

It was listed as close to the airport, which it is not. However, the facilities are really nice and the staff even nicer. we're glad we stayed there even for the distance.

Excellent value for money and I will be happy to stay again. Enjoyed the drive up from west Yorkshire. Stay over, drive into Edinburgh for the day. Visit HM Yacht Britannia, Drive back to hotel, stay over, drive back home via Keswick and windermere. Many Great staff. Nice room. Breakfast good quality basic choices, Good food nearby on evening. All happy.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was clean and had everything we needed. The restaurant was closed for the evening, however staff were super helpful in recommending alternatives. The hotel is on a main road, but this was not noticeable at all. Breakfast was well organised with lots to choose ftom. Highly recommended.
