The room was fantastic: great bed, full kitchen, sitting area with sofa and chair and a desk. The bathroom was lovely also. The breakfast room has a great atmosphere and lovely view of downtown. Good selection of hot and cold items to choose from. Having a fan in the bathroom to reduce steam from showers would be desireable. During our stay, only one of the two elevators was in service. As the hotel has 15 floors, this resulted in long wait times.

I'm rating this hotel relative to my expectations for similar 3-star stays. Overall, this is a solid hotel in Hamilton. I have stayed at another competitor 3-star in the hotel. I must say, the Homewood Suites exceeded my expectations. It's great for extended stays. The room was clean. I intended to use the pool; however, there was a weird odor. I presume the building is old and there might be old paint or other factors in play. The gem amenity of this hotel is the breakfast buffet. It is better than continental breakfasts at other hotels. I was really impressed. I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. However, there was a water noise coming from the bathroom that was a bit concerning. We stayed in Room 414 at the end of the hall and initially worried about the possibility of a flood or pipe rupture. Luckily, nothing happened, but it did feel like only a matter of time. The same concern applied to the toilet, but both issues ultimately turned out not to be a problem, so we consider ourselves lucky. Aside from these minor worries, the hotel is beautiful, very clean, and comfortable, making for a enjoyable stay.I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. Property was generally not clean. Pool area was disgusting with a rusty fountain,garbage filled with dirty dipers, bandaids on floor and chewing gum. Front desk called me in the morning to move my car from one parking lot to a different one at which point I received a 160 parking ticket when I was told that is where I could park with the hotel. On top of that the fire alarm went off for no reason causing us to get soaked standing in the rain. Will not be returning and I recommend others to steer clear of this hotel.

Comfortable and spacious

Since we were there for a bicycle race, we needed to eat breakfast in the room as we had to leave before the hotel breakfast opens. It was nice to have a small kitchen, while having the comfort of a king bed.
