Perfect place to stay for visiting Hobbiton, especially if you're doing the evening banquet. The studio unit was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet in a lovely rural setting. Breakfast items are also provided

We stayed in an apartment the size of a house! Pretty garden flowers. Large sized rooms. Kitchen with some amenities. Not many outlets and none in the bathroom with the miiror. There’s no place to plug in a hair dryer.

Very friendly welcome from Shona. Nice little studio apartment with first breakfast kindly provided. View from the kitchen window breathtakingly beautiful - the farm landscape framed by the lovely flowers in the garden. No wifi in the apartment itself, although it is available at reception - but I had adequate mobile data reception so just stuck with that.

The studio apartment was perfect for our short stay in the area. It was well appointed and so quiet. It was a short drive to Hobbiton for our tour and felt like we were already in the shire. We could easily drive to Cambridge for any meals or provisions. I recommend Kauri Lodge as a great stay in the area.

Shona welcomed us warmly and provided amenities for a nice breakfast. Her place is clean, spacious, and set in a lovely area surrounded by rolling green hills. We were sad that we had to leave early for the next stop in our journey and would love to visit again.

The views all around were amazing. It was great to wake up surrounded by sheep and cows. A short drive into Cambridge for delicious food. Only thing missing for was bedside lamps to read by.

A Scenic Stay in the Shire
Had a pleasant stay that felt like it was nestled in the Hobbit shire countryside. Was conveniently located just 15 minutes drive from Hobbiton. Host was pleasant and friendly and met us upon arrival. And the stars at night were amazing! The first time I’ve seen the Milky Way in a long while.

If you are going to Hobbiton this wonderful farm is perched on the crest of an undulating valley with perfect views of sunset. The bed is comfortable, the apartment is spacious and the family who own it are warm and welcoming. Travel a beautiful winding back country road for 20 mins to get to Hobbiton. Loved it
