We had a room with a king size bed and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was disgustingly dirty. The Kind size bed was extremely soft and if two people say at the end of it the mattress would flip. Looks like whoever took over this business just put a quick bandage in thing to get it running
The sheets were full of holes and stains, absolutely disgusting. It didnt matter in the end, we ended up sleeping without them because we couldnt control the ac or open the window (bolted shut). The room was awfully hot is what I'm trying to say.
Hallways and rooms were not well maintained. some lights worked, light shades were broken, toilet seat wasn't fastened properly, front lobby door was broken, only 1 employee on staff and was away from the desk at times and we were actually locked out of the lobby and entry into the hotel.
This hotel was so unsanitary I didn’t even stay. They refused to refund me even though there were bed bugs, moldy walls and unsafe electrical problems.
The bathroom was full of mold. The tap had black mold coming out. The bed sheets were stained and burned with cigarette holes. We had to Clorox wipe the lamps, the sink, the counters. When we asked for towels and for clean sheets, the front desk said the people who clean were old like my mother.
It was a terrible experience.
Early check in. They wanted $18 per hour. No safe place to leave bags before check in. Check in clerk had no local knowledge of the area from the outside the place looked run down. Dirty and outdated. Spoke to a guest and they had mouse dropping on their bed. Mould in the washroom. Decided not to check in. Found somewhere else to stay. The man at the front desk was on his phone booking U-Haul rental trucks while checking us in. He seemed like we were inconveniencing him. Our rooms were sticky and dirty 1 room had mouse turds. Neither room had towels or soap. We asked multiple times before 1 room got 1 towel for 2 people and the other room got 2 towels for 3 people.
The front desk attendant kept leaving the front desk so kept getting locked out of the hotel when we came to check in and when we left and came back. Bed was very comfortably. Was never told my deposit was not gonna be returned in the morning if they put it on a visa/mastercrd. Also AC did not work and the towels stunk
This well-located property could be better maintained for a great business opportunity. The staff were friendly; however, (a) my card key didn't work so I had to alert the front-desk staff every time I'd get in (b) the "bath towel" had seen better times (c) the television didn't work, although the front-desk staff tried valiantly to fix it (d) in general, the property was run-down (boarded-up broken windows) and rickety furniture and bed. I'd recommend it to the budget-conscious traveler who can put up with such poor service/amenities to save a few bucks.
I had a market in London until 10pm and one at 10am in Hamilton on the 4th.
We showed up almost at 1am and needed to sleep.
This is the only reason why we stayed.
I had to pay a $250 deposit and was told not to smoke to get it back. The first room we went to was disgusting stains all over the bedding AND BURN MARKS which I have photos of. We went downstairs immediately and asked for a different room or our money back even though we were exhausted. The next room slightly better but still stains on the bedding, no towels, no hotwater for the shower, we asked for some towels to be sent up and never did. It was such a weird experience for me and I honestly don't know how they run a business like that.
