I’ve stayed here a few times. Very friendly and professional staff, the place is very clean and quiet. It getting better and better each time I return. Richly decorated, beautiful, and clean. The restaurant is excellent. The staff and management are absolutely on-point at every moment. Staying a L’HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi was truly a 5-star experience from top to bottom. I can't recommend it strongly enough for anyone that is looking for luxury in the heart of The Old Quarter. Close to everything but still quiet and relaxing once you step inside and are greeted by smiling, well-trained staff that rival the best I've seen anywhere in the world.

After a very disappointing rental with Air B&B, we left after one night and booked the remainder of our stay with LHotel du Lac, Hanoi. 5 Stars does not express how pleased we were with our stay. ALL the staff is OUTSTANDING - accommodating, generous, friendly, kind, helpful. They treated us as royalty from the time we entered their lobby through the moment we entered our cab to leave for the airport. While our room was a little snug, it was spotlessly clean, well equipped for our comfort, and in excellent repair. The included breakfasts were outstanding offering a variety of Vietnamese and International options all excellently prepared and beautifully presented. After a long day of touring the city we enjoyed a special evening at their Sky Bar offering delicious drinks and a great view of Hanoi. If you are going to Hanoi, STAY AT THE LHOTEL DU LAC!!! You will love this hotel. We did.

It’s more than we expected!
We had a wonderful stay at L’hotel Du LAC. The staff are friendly and helpful and they really care about our experience at the hotel. The room and the hotel were well designed with Vietnamese traditional pantings which made it so special and full of cultural info for guests. If we travel to Hanoi again, L’hotel Du LAC Hanoi will be definitely our first choice.

Great hotel in a prime location in the Old Quarter. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and proactive, helping us with our return flight and transfers. The room was a bit small but otherwise clean, nice, and functional for a short stay. The hotel staff were a bit confusing about the complimentary water and beverages in the room, telling us different things. And the airport pick up was a bit expensive but otherwise good.
