Works for us. We aren't fancy. We like friendly.

We always stay here when visiting Carlisle because of its downtown, walkable location. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Parking garage a bonus. Some of the rooms could use a refresh.

Don’t miss this Charming, Vintage Gem

Loved the vibe at the portico and front lobby of this Historical Hotel. Felt more like a vintage Inn or B&B especially with the tavern, outside covered street patio and popular restaurant in the building. Food is delicious. Rooms are large, very clean, fresh and beds were very comfortable. There is no smoking on premises. They offer the usual Free breakfast, internet and parking. If you’re traveling on route 81 going through Carlisle Pa I wouldn’t hesitate to spend the night at this charming little gem only a couple blocks off the interstate. Everything about it was wonderful!

I rated this property (Terrible) because my room smelled like mold. It wasn't a faint smell; it was a powerful smell. It was as if the carpet had gotten wet and moldy, and they tried to cover it up. I've stayed here many times, so it's likely that something has happened in the last couple of months that they haven't addressed.

Disappointed

I went for a weekend with my mother just to have some time away. The minute I stepped into the stairway I was disappointed in the cleanliness. Once out of the steps, first thing I noticed was a wave in the carpet where the whole center of it has lifted, all the way down the hallway. Went into the room and could tell we had a lazy housekeeper. Window was dirty and mirrors were all smudged up. The bathroom door was broken, it still worked but it took a few tries to get it to close each time. The bed was stiff, no refrigerator light, and just overall not very clean. I was disappointed overall.
