Nice place to stay

The hotel was nice and clean. The room was pretty standard. The bartenders and waiters in the Amber Restaurant were lovely and the food was great. Quite far out of Harrogate centre.

Valentines Weekend Away

We had a couples stay at the hotel for Valentines weekend. The hotel location and building were beautiful, as were the lobby, bar and restaurant. Taking into consideration this is a 4* hotel, there is no doubt that the main hotel itself i.e. the bar/lounge area and the restaurant met our expectations. We dined in the hotel restaurant for both evenings, the food and service were excellent, offering good value for money. Sadly our hotel room on the 2nd floor (206) did not in anyway meet out expectations. The room was tired and rundown, in particular the bathroom. The mattress was without doubt below standard. It was also the little things that let it down, e.g. no shampoo or conditioner, no moisturiser, toilet flush and bath plug that did not function correctly. This all sadly took a bit of the shine off the stay. The staff at the hotel were super helpful, friendly and welcoming :-) Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would consider staying again in the future, only if the rooms had improved!

Cedar Court staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The outside of the hotel and its reception, foyer, bar and restaurant area are beautiful. Our room was comfortable yet basic and looked like it could do with fresh paint as a lot of the walls were marked and looked a bit grubby. Bed comfortable but the decor of bright orange made me feel like I had walked into an Easyjet lounge! A lovely hotel but that extra bit of TLC in the room decor would make it a lot nicer. Would still book again as staff were great!

Second stay as good as first

This is my second stay at cedar court and this time with my dog. He loved the pet bed that was there for him so much that we are going out shopping tomorrow for a similar one. The room was clean, plenty hot water for bath or shower, slightly noisy in the morning as work was going on but we did sleep fairly late ! I love the friendly attitude of all the staff at this hotel they are all welcoming and will have a laugh with you. It is a very accommodating place to be. We ate one night in the restaurant and it was lovely and had reasonable choices for my coeliac partner (although not much choice in pudding menu!)

Fabulous!

Lovely hotel, stayed for 2 nights across a weekend, with breakfast. Parking - easy to locate, plenty of spaces, £8 a night. Checkin, smooth and friendly. First impression, lovely public areas, comfortbale, warm and modern. Proceeded to our room via a lift (2nd floor) and as soon as we got out of the lift there was the smell of stale cigarettes from the days when smoking was allowed in rooms. First impression if room, clean, warm, soacious, recently updated, but ince again, smell of tobacco. Bathroom a little dated, toilet flush was hit & miss, bath a little small but met our needs. Clean, fluffy towels provided. Beds were ok, we slept pretty well. Breakfast buffet 😋 gorgeous and plentiful. Dinjng room modern, clean and a lovely environment. We enjoyed an evening meal in the hotel one evening. It was delicious, especially the bread pudding! Staff throughout the hotel are attentive and should be commended. I hope they recieve the service charge paid for the meal. Checkout online - efficient and with no problems Hotel is a nice pleasant and interesting 15 minute walk away from the town.we enjoyed admiring the old properties along the way! Overall, a fabulous stay and would definitely stay again.

I have stayed before & I like the place & people; slightly disappointed that there was no effort to clear the car park of snow or indeed the path up to the door - it was very dangerous. No grit or salt laid either. They did say they had a shovel !

Shocking Hotel! Dirty rooms, bathroom wasn’t clean. Cobwebs hanging from bedroom and bathroom. The beds springs were broken which gave a ‘waterbed’ feel for my wife and I. A breeze block held the Christmas tree bass down in the lobby Very poor experience.

Excellent two night stay. Have stayed here a handful of times and appreciate the investment n the property. Wonderful dining experience in Ambers both for dinner and the buffet breakfast - which was excellent. Plenty of options including healthy as well as full English. Shame about the parking charge however wouldn’t deter us from staying again.

Very average hotel in need of an upgrade . Nice appearance from the outside and in a good location , reception area and bar pleasant but rooms are dated and our room was above main entrance so noisy given its where the smokers and vapers would gather . Room also not as clean as you would except for £120 a night and why only one plug socket on the far wall , bizarre . Sleep interrupted by the fire alarm , no apology on check out which was disappointing

Not the standard we expected.

Check had one machine with a yoing girl stood waiting for individuals to self check in to give keys out. Each customer she said if you are struggling she could help person in front of us didn't notice room no so she had to look it up. With us she asked our booking name so hax our key ready choice of one or two keys chose 2 but one made up already so why offer pointless. Registration of car cameras had read no incorrectly hope the person with that no doesn't receive a fine. The price of hotel parking should be free We had a bath but the gel was by the shower so if you wanted to use it you had to stand to reach it thoughtless.
