This is our favourite hotel in Harrogate, partly because of its location and appearance, but partly because it provides such a faithful reminder of a time when things were more solid and less comfortable. Especially mattresses.

This is a lovely hotel with lots of history. Upgraded room as wanted the larger room. Didn’t realise this included a large sitting room. It was nice but not needed as we were out and about most of the time. The only downside was our waitress in the food hall for breakfast. She was the most unhelpful and miserable one in there. When I asked for something she basically grunted back. I heard others there also ask for different eggs. Again, she grunted back to them and was really unhelpful. Found her very rude. Also, not much choice for vegetarians for cooked breakfast. Perhaps they could add a choice of vegetarian sausages as they had meat ones. Other than this it was a nice hotel.

A Nice Hotel

A very nice hotel. Room clean and good facilities. Decent breakfast with a good choice. Was a bit shocked though at £12 per day car parking charge.
