Solid option

This is a very serviceable hotel. The rooms are modest but comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It was a good place for us to stay.

We booked this place for a 1 night stay as we were passing through. The front desk was so kind and helpful. Room was decent and older. The walls are super thin!! Thank goodness for the AC unit and the fan to help drown out the noise. The breakfast was a continental breakfast and hot coffee. We opted to go next door to Charlies Family Grill for a full breakfast. We needed protein. There is plenty of parking for trailers etc. Good location too.

American Host is my very favorite hotel

I just love this place-- and whenever i am going to be here i make sure i can book a room here before i even book my flight- awesome hosts who go beyond the usual to give amazing service and a feeling of being "at home" ♡ them!

The property was easy to find and had more than enough parking. From the beginning of my trip, through my last day, the staff was amazing! They were so nice, personable, attentive and they even wished me a happy birthday! The property was very well kept, the linen was fresh and they provide breakfast. Next time I’m in the area, I will be staying here again.

We stayed one night for a trip to the Silver Lake sand dunes and Lake Michigan. The young lady who checked us in was very polite and helpful with the area as far as how to get to the local dining and our destination. Room was clean. I would consider the facility itself as average, although I would not have a problem with booking the room in the future.

Nicer than expected but still had downsides

Frankly, when we pulled up, we were very skeptical. It looked pretty sketchy. But the check-in process was painless, the room was actually pretty nice, and it was pretty conveniently located. Downsides include no elevator (luckily there's only two floors), the beds weren't very comfy, and although we had a suite with a kitchenette, the drawers and cabinets were empty. No plates, bowls, glasses, pots/pans, etc. We found 2 forks and 2 butter knives in a basket on the counter. Even a stack of paper plates and napkins would have been nice to be able to warm up some leftovers we brought back.
