The staff was just ok, nothing special about the service. But the room smelled really bad. The carpet smelled as if it was wet for a while… the doors, the faucet, and bathroom when flushed make squeaky and very anoying noises. But the worse part was the smell. I was provided with a Smoke odor eliminator, but it didn’t do much. Overall, it wasn't a positive experience.

Adequate room in a hotel that could use a facelift

Upon arriving I was nervous as the parking and common areas were quite run down, but the room was much nicer and clean, and worked for our needs. Breakfast was satisfactory. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is minutes walk to several restaurants. The hallway on the 4th floor smelled of cleaning products and something else, but the room smell was okay, and improved running the AC. I did not notice any eco-friendly features.

The hotel is fine except the beds are not queens as indicated. It’s a full size bed. Parking is also a disaster. The parking garage is ridiculous and space was not available for you to park despite paying for it. Customer service was excellent and understanding.

The location is good, near the downtown area. The Hotel needs upgrade, room, parking garage and hallway. The breakfast was weak . They didn’t have enough food. They ran out of eggs, waffles and bread. Definitely they need to do a better job when it comes to breakfast. 2 out of 5.

Room Key Fob is outdated and having issues every time you go up and it’s not working and have to come back to replace. This happens everyday during my 5 day stay. Also Area near by during night is risky and lot of drug addicts and baggers roam around bugging you unnecessary

The captial hotel in Hartford

My stay at the capital was very great the room was very clean and the staff was very friendly also I might add there is couple good restaurants like black eye sally, insomnia cookie and pho restaurant and many more other places

the staff was AMAZING, very humble and easy to get along with. this is a very convenient hotel especially if you need a place to stay just for the night. very close to everything in the city, pretty much walkable distance. i saw some reviews that stated their were homeless people sitting outside surrounding the entrances, completely false. i didn’t feel unsafe at any point of my stay. would definitely recommend:)

False advertising

Room was dirty and there was hair all over the bathroom sink and shower. Was also charged an extra $100 when hotels.com said I’d only pay $159. False advertisement and shady business if you ask me.
