The room needs an upgrade. There was a bad odor. Carpet should be removed and replaced. The staff was very nice and the amenities were great food for breakfast. It was very good. Lobby looked very nice.

Staff is lovely & they go out of their way to make your stay welcoming & comfortable (fruit, coffee, full breakfast, etc). We stay here for the proximity to Miss Porters School (a short walk). The inn is older & rooms need some work (rooms could use updating / fresh paint) - but again, we stay for convenience.

I lived in the Farmington Valley for more than 20 years and now travel back for work. I stayed at the Farmington Inn for several days/week and the service was always consistent, welcoming and friendly. I know the other options in Farmington, Simsbury, Avon well and have stayed in many other places, but this is the best atmosphere, service and value for your money. Farmington Inn is a charming hotel with a "B & B" feel with the privacy and amenities of a hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and it has all the amenities and conveniences of a hotel (24 hour lattes, tea, water, gym, breakfast) with the warmth and coziness of a B & B. I will never stay anywhere else in the Farmington Valley again. Wonderful hotel!

I was surprised when I saw condition of that property. The whole place needs to be renovated and updated. My room 126 was like nothing was done for 30 yrs. The ac unit on the wall is dirty inside, lamp was broken, bathroom was in terrible condition. Tub was dirty, floor same condition. The whole room smelled bad. Ceiling looked like is falling apart. Carpet on the stairs very dirty. Not enough light in the room. Broken table lamp. The only positive thing about that place was very friendly people and comfortable bed.

The rooms have a very unpleasant odor — I had to keep the window open during my stay. The property feels old, dated, and not very clean. Breakfast is very basic. There’s no elevator, which can be inconvenient if you have luggage. There are no microwaves in the common area, and only two bottles of water were provided. I stayed for five days, and when I asked for more water, I had to pay for it.

Simple, elegant decir and comfortable room. Good access to charging stations, hvac operated as it should, excellent breakfast options—more than continental. Friendly check-in manager. Needs a bit of paint on doors and door woodwork but our 2nd time here and would recommend.
