Quick late-night check in. Easy parking. There’s a small mound of rodent feces up on the shelf in the closet off the bathroom that the cleaner missed. If I hadn’t looked up there I would have thought the place was thoroughly clean. I also check mattresses at unknown hotels and this one had a pristine white cover around the box spring so I couldn’t see any clues about bed bugs and yet I noticed bug bites on my feet and arms the next day. it was December so not the time of year for summer gnats and mosquitoes. Not sure what else to think but that they came from that room.

Room eas clean. They overdid it on the deodorizer. The water pressure was barely adequate. The door was difficult to close. The room was a decent place to stay for 1 night at a reasonable price.

Yes the parking was really nice. Right in front of the door. Everything worked nice. One big problem! only one power outlet to use in the whole room. Very hard when we have 2 Cpaps, 3 phones to charge and computer to plug in to do work.

Could be cleaner

It is an aging building. For the most part, they’ve done the best they could. I stayed because it was the only hotel in town with “hard” (laminate) flooring. Just don’t trust carpet anymore. The bath tip had a hole in it and it hadn’t been cleaned since someone took a bath. There was a ring and lots of hair.

Very quiet town, arrived around 8 pm and already there was barely any people out and about. Same thing again when I left in the morning around 8 am. Parking was well lit all night, the room was freshly remodeled and clean. Had all I need for a night stay; a comfy bed(very springy), working air conditioner, a good shower, a fridge to cool down my drink, electricity to charge my phone and watch. Being in the desert all these simple things were like an oasis. Found it hard to sleep though since the pillow was not soft enough to what I’m use to and maybe because it was my first time in that town(kept waking up and checking my car). Nevertheless it was a pleasant stay and the most affordable in all of Hawthorne. I was also very relieved to be met with an Asian face too when I arrived for I am an Asian myself and traveling alone so that made me feel not so alone. The town is nestled along a beautiful mountain range and a few miles from a lake. There is a Mc Donald’s a mile or two away and a Safeway. I am most bummed my dashcam recorded over the footage of me driving through as I had not brought my laptop to upload the data. Thank you American Inn for the stay, I shall return one night if life permits it.

First off, we never got a card key, no coffee maker in room, while taking a shower pieces of the ceiling fell into the tub, the toilet wasn't bolted solidly to the floor the door frame was split. The bed was decent

The desk clerk at night was not polite when I had trouble with the room door. Other than that, everything was clean and it's conveniently located on Highway 95.

Don't judge a book by the cover

Check in was fast . Employee was friendly and efficient . Building is run down outside however inside the inside was clearly remodeled and was spotless .

We asked for a 1st floor since we traveled with my son's bike to college that we needed unload for the night....the only room available was room that the key card lock wouldn't work on the door...we could never get it opened ourselves...we had to have front desk staff open it up...after we ate dinner and came back to the room..we couldn't get in the room and waited for the front desk person for 15 minutes while he came back from another property...also both the sink and tub backed up with water...we stood in 6 to 8 inches of water when we took a shower....probably won't be back

A great place to stay for the night with large rooms! We have traveled thru this area multiple times in the last 5 years and never remotely thought about staying the night here but it was perfect for us this year! Checking in later than normal to be up on our way early so no breakfast wasnt a problem for us - McDonalds nearby was a huge plus for our granddaughters.
