IHG could do better

Rooms are boring and inviting. Please take my 150.00 and use it to buy new pillows. They suck. It was noisy between the wall unit and the hall noise. The place was clean overall. The breakfast staff was helpful and the coffee was good.

Comfortable sleep

We love Avid Hotel Hays. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. This particular room did have an issue with the door. It was extremely difficult to open plus, you needed to slam it to close it. The shower door also did not have any handles on it.

Easy to get to. Property seems nice and my room was clean. I don't know what they clean the showers with. It works; my shower was nice and clean, but the shower floor seemed very slippery! One thing I appreciate is that I can set my room thermostat to what is comfortable for ME and not what the hotel decides is comfortable for me. I sleep better in a cooler environment and so it made for good sleeping!

Love AVID

We love AVID. No carpet on the floors to worry about what’s lurking there. Check-in was easy even though the clerk acted like he wished he was anywhere else but at work.

The only thing I found less than good was the morning breakfast. Let’s just have regular bacon. Not little bits that get caught in your teeth with no flavor. The coffee you offer is awful. I don’t know if it is the particular bean or the makers don’t get cleaned very often. It is bitter and leaves a bad aftertaste in your mouth. The minimal room served our purpose this time, but we wouldn’t have enjoyed it for a longer stay.

Disappointed but nice Hotel!

Check-in at front desk was quick, easy, and friendly. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of my room at this Avid Hotel location. Floors were very sticky from whatever cleaner they use. Room also had not been dusted recently and dog hairs were left on window seal above a/c unit and other areas. Fingerprints were left on mirror. After such a long trip, I did not want to ask for a room change. The bed was comfortable and did get a good night's sleep. Always enjoy Avid's breakfast options.
