Lovely hotel right next to central train station . I had a top floor room which was quite large with a very comfortable king size bed. Powerful shower and spotless room.Mini bar and large Tv . Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice . All the staff i talked with were helpful and polite, both at reception and breakfast. Had slight problem connecting to wifi on arrival but reception desk solved the problem. Tram and bus stops right opposite the hotel as well as the train station , so there is no problems getting around the city. I bought a Helsinki card which was great value especially if you visit a few museums and ferry cruises. Overall i would give this hotel 10 out of 10

Heavy bags and lots of stairs make me sad What doesn’t make sense about this hotel is that the front door and reception area is three flights of stairs above street level aka at the height of the train station platform. But there’s no ramp nor obvious elevator. Despite being on the same plane as the station and being next to said station there is a glaring lack of a door from the platform to the hotel which would seem to be the most logical way to transfer customers between on business and another. For a hotel that bills itself on the convenience of being at the station it’s approach to accessing said station is positively Kafkaesque. If you stay here be mindful of this

Great stay except for AC

All good, great staff, however one major downside was that the AC cannot be turned off and I was cold throughout the night. Because of this, I’ll likely not stay here again. Also, no safety deposit box in the room which you’d expect a hotel of this level to have (they didn’t advertise it to have one, but still).

Excellent hotel and really helpful staff.

My only grip is, the porridge at breakfast was only luke warm and very thick, the beans were also luke warm, i didn't eat any other hot food at breakfast, therefore i don't know if all the hot food wasn't very hot.

Classic yet casual hotel

We loved this grand old hotel in a perfect location adjacent to the train station and near to most of Helsinki's destinations. The beautiful common areas feel like you just walked into a 1930s movie set, but the atmosphere is casual. The staff are excellent and helpful. The breakfast buffet is extensive and includes local specialties. Our room was large and very comfortable, although it didn't have much drawer space for unpacking. The shower/tub works well but is oddly designed without a curtain, so it tends to leave water on the floor, which has a large drain. Of course, there are men's and women's saunas in the basement, and a small gym.

No phone in your room to call front desk. Stuffs were not friendly at all. Breakfast menu will be the same if you stay in this hotel for 5 days so You will be tired of it.
