The 2 bedroom apartment was great. Situated central to cbd. However the biggest issue is the entrance and reception. Reception is on level 6 but the taxi dropped us at ground level. We were unable to get in. It was timely that someone arrived with a swipe card to help us. We also did the same to another group. Directions were not clear to where we had to register.

Convenient to Lambton Quay, clean and has everything you need for a few nights. Having a washing machine was great.

The view from the 22nd floor was amazing. Staff were very helpful and the whole hotel was well maintained and very clean. The only difficulty we had was the parking. The parking spots were very tight for the size of our vehicle but we did get our car to fit in the parking spot eventually. Besides the parking, we had a beautiful time while staying at the James cook hotel and we will definitely return to stay again the next time we are back in Wellington. Brilliant location. Pricey, but we had a magic two weeks here. Close walk to gym and pool. Front bed room (with the view) is noisey at night if you are a light sleeper but rear bedrooms quiet.

Clean rolm, perfect for early flight

Great location, close to everything we wanted to see and do, and good walking distance between landmarks. The apartment was pleasant; it had everything we needed and before we arrived the heaters were turned on - it was a really lovely way to arrive as it was a cold and wet Wellington day. We contacted reception and managed to book a car park in the Boulton Secure Parks, which was fantastic.
