Fantastic services at this hotel! The staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and quiet, and we received a couple of amenities for being an Expedia VIP. Would definitely come back!

Horrible hotel. Rooms look as if the last renovation is 40 years ago. Staff doesn’t speak well English. On a Saturday evening out of four restaurants already three were closed at a bit after 8 pm. And the one open was a buffet restaurant. Even the bar didn’t offer bar food and there is no room service available. What a joke. For breakfast you have to queue up and wait 15 minutes although I was down before 8 am. The orange marmalade they offered couldn’t be opened and the worst is the coffee machine. I travel a lot but have never seen such a dirty machine. Did nobody explain the staff that the container for the beans needs to be cleaned? Such a dirty container shows this has not been cleaned in years!!! As this has massive impact on the flavor of the beans that are in such a container it is no surprise that the coffee tastes horrible.

Take the North Exit and the Hotel is next to the Train Station with a covered walkway, could not be easier. Diagonally opposite is a good supermarket and the hotel has a microwave in the small room close to the baggage hold area. The site seeing bus is so handy right out front it was free using our JR West train ticket it takes you to the Peace Memorial & Museum. So much to see in Hiroshima take bus 30 to Kintaikyo & the timber bridge & rope way to the Castle. Take the ferry to Miyajima Island & the floating Tori Gate & best coffee ice cream cone. We ate at Reichan Restaurant B1 in the train station in the Ekie Food Hall had great Okonomiyaki with Pork prawns & squid but be prepared for a queue.

Pros: Hotel location is brilliant as you can quickly access the train station for quick travel in/around the city. Its about a 30 minute walk from the Peace Memorial. Staff are very friendly and helpful to assist. Hotel/room was always clean. Cons: Hotel and rooms are a bit dated now and is showing its age. The rooms could do with a refurb. The pillows are uncomfortable (one is rock hard like a brick and the other is flat like a pancake). The buffet breakfast we found most of the hot things were cold on both days we stayed and the western selection could be better. Perhaps an omelette station could improve it? I've got to say the fresh cut steak was great though. Overall it was an ideal location for a base but with a few improvements could be a lot better!

The Granvia Hotel is conveniently located at the Hiroshima Station. The breakfasts were the best we have had in Japan. Even the welcome beverage included tasty appetizers. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent location attached to Hiroshima station. The rooms are clean and comfortable but definitely on the older side. Service was good and they took our bags to be stored when we arrived earlier than check in time.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful city. The hotel is located next to the station, so getting anywhere is easy. The staff was excellent, and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend the Hotel Granvia in Hiroshima for anyone traveling here.
