Excellent lodge . The Park is spectacular . We were not crazy about the game ranger - very sexist and opinionated - SIMO was his name - we also got into a situation with a bull elephant and frankly handled it badly. The spa treatments were excellent . The food quality and quantity was very good indeed . Would recommend and if you get Simo as a guide just ask for a change in game ranger and it will then be a highly rated experience .

Wonderful lodge in great location

Wonderful lodge with high level of service in very nice location!! The price is at the high end, however we did feel that we got lots of value for money so it was definitely worth it! We can only recommend this great place :)

Superior Safari Lodge with excellent views

We had a wonderful 2 night stay, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent. The room and views superb. The morning and evening game drives included in the room price made this the best safari lodge we have ever stayed in. We will return.

Excellent boutique safari experience

My wife and I spent a few days at Rhino Ridge as part of a tour around South Africa. We debated about where to base ourselves for some game drives and could not have been more pleased with our choice. Our villa was superb. I'd have moved in, if I could! Very attentive staff who were passionate about the guests, the lodge and the reserve. Our guides for the game drives were very knowledgeable, The vehicles were brand new and well kitted out, complete with nice blankets and ponchos on board for early/late chills or rain. Meals were very good. There was a formality and rhythm to the day, but never in a bad way. It was all about the game drives.

Beautiful

Nothing negative to say about the hotel itself. Staff, service, room, guides and food were all excellent. Only negative is with the actual Uhluhwe park itself as there were many areas that Rhino Ridge did not have access to, it didn't really give us that 'off road' experience that privately owned parks give. All the animals we saw on the game drives, we had seen already on the way to the hotel.

Bien mais pas aux normes de sécurité

Établissement trĂšs agrĂ©able situĂ© en plein cƓur du parc. L’espace commun est agrĂ©able avec une vue exceptionnelle. Les chambres villas sont trĂšs confortables avec aussi une superbes vues. Le staff de l’hĂŽtel s’occupe globalement bien des invitĂ©s. Cependant nous n’avons pas eu de chance car il y a eu le feu le lendemain de notre arrivĂ©. Nous avons du aider Ă  Ă©teindre les diffĂ©rents foyer des l’incendies et Ă©vacuer la chambre. L’hĂŽtel ne dispose que de bassine et de petits sceaux en cas d’incendie (pas de lance Ă  eau par exemple). C’est un gros point noir car en cas d’incendie plus important cela peut tourner mal. Une fois fini et une demi journĂ©e de perdu la direction n’a fait aucun geste commercial. Un couple de sud africain a demander Ă  ce que nous soyons au moins tous changer de chambre car les chambres Ă©taient enfumĂ©s. De plus tous nos vĂȘtements sentent le brĂ»le.
