Very disappointed with the room. It has a window but no view at all. Actually the room only have 4 walls as the window is completely blocked by a wall of the next door building. Almost no natural light in the room. This shortcomings was not clearly stated in the booking website. If I knew that, I would not book this hotel at all. I was traveling with my mum, the bathroom have no lock that made us feel very uneasy. Also, there's no hocks to hang my clothes in the bathroom, very poorly designed and considered. I will not book this hotel again.

Our 8-night stay at Mövenpick was possibly the best experience we have had so far! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such joy from Mila - while checking in, he made the process as smooth as possible for us! He explained everything in such great detail, which made our stay less stressful and just more enjoyable! Dining in their restaurant was ok, but would have liked to be served with less attitude - might as well just get room service. On the bright side, the food was very delicious! Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi - we could stream our own movies or shows! Plus, nice complementary coffee! The valet parking was simple but professional - we call reception for them to bring the car out and only taking around 20-25 minutes, giving us heaps of time to get ready! Price was definitely reasonable too! The hotel was located perfectly in the center of everything! Shopping centre was across the street and some great restaurants in walkable distance, it was easy navigating the area! I would absolutely give more stars if I could - the staff/reception were just incredible throughout our stay - especially Mila, giving us the best experience possible! We will certainly come back to Mövenpick hotel when in Hobart again!!

I absolutely loved this hotel. From arrival to departure..it was easy. The staff were amazing..breakfast delicious..hotel was clean and well cared for and within easy walking distance to everything. I would highly recommend and will definitely be staying there again when I next visit Hobart.

We truly enjoyed our experience staying at the Movenpick Hobart. Everything was perfect, from the services the staff provided to the exceptional amenities offered at the hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always greeting us with warm smiles and prompt assistance. Breakfast was a highlight, with a diverse and delicious selection. Very central hotel to everything. Beautiful view of the harbour from our room. Comfortable beds, hot shower & good water pressure. Clean and modern. Only complaint is the bell tower is right next door so you hear the tower bells every 15 minutes so if a light sleeper like me just bring ear plugs. Would stay again next visit

I stayed with Movenpick for one night. The room was excellent, with great views and excellent service. However, there were some unexpected costs. Parking is very expensive. The hotel provides valet parking at a rate of $35. Otherwise, there are other nearby (one and a half blocks away) parking options at a cost of $27. I found parking around Hobart to be very expensive. Next time I will make sure to ask about parking prior to booking. In addition, the hotel takes a $100 holding fee upon arrival, which they explained would be reimbursed when I left. When I checked out (and was waiting for my car from the valet for 30 minutes), my money was still not reimbursed. I asked reception when I could expect to be reimbursed, they told me it would take 3 to 5 business days. It would be helpful to be made away of these hidden costs prior to booking so this can be planned for.
