We stayed in one of the penthouses and I was very pleasantly surprised how lovely the property was, while being good value for money compared to the usual/chain/shoebox sized accom options. It was so spacious with great views and very easy to live in. Everything we needed was supplied. Very happy with our choice.
Very good location; take Kelly's steps and you're in Salamanca. The apartment is in a very good conditions and everything was super clean. The kids had fun in the backyard. Only downside is the carpark. Just be very careful while parking as it's very narrow and the car can barely fit (we had an 8 seater), Should be much easier if you have a smaller car.
Nice property. We had 2 couples sharing and it worked really well. A nice walk along the water to Salamanca markets and restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay. $10 a day for guaranteed secure parking was also great.
It’s a quiet place to stay. Overall environment is clean and tidy. Receptionist was kind and helpful. Although my room’s refrigerator didn’t work when I stay in, but the staff place another one in room my in the same day.
This was a really beautiful stay... great little kitchen, super comfortable bed, just sparkling. A few wall light fixtures were not functioning and a bathroom sink would not deliver any hot water for some reason!!! The shower was super spacious and open, beautiful, but the hot water delivery there was lukewarm and sporadic as well. The only reason I couldn't give it five stars for overall. Hot water is pretty essential-- I will note that there was a fantastic little beverage hot water dispenser on the kitchenette counter! Still, I would book this place again... there were no dealbreaker issues and it was a great location.

The photos I saw on the website were not of the appartment we were allocated. When I asked for photos of the appartment I had booked I was sent photos of three appartments.
While I understand all the IXL appartments have the same lay out the furnishings do make a difference. Our apartment was sparse with no personal touches. No books, games or dvds no Netflix either. The front bedroom located next to the walkway and can be noisy with people coming home late at night. Disappointing for what we paid.
Comfortable, spacious apartments right on the waterfront. Fully kitted out with kitchen and bits and pieces for cooking and a comfortable stay. Perfectly located for me for both business (a conference at the Chancellor) and a bit of a holiday with easy and enjoyable walking to restaurants, bars, markets and the city. Great value for money and I would stay again.
The only downside was that we were evacuated twice due to a faulty fire alarm, once right in the middle of the night. The condition of some of the appliances was also a bit run down.
Unexpectedly turned out to be located in Battery Point. But the location was great with good cafes and restaurants and Salamanca Place all within easy walking distance
Well positioned close to the wharf and CBD. Unit is stylish and claen and had just about everything there.
Only thing missing was coffee pods for the provided coffee machine.
There was a cabinet under the sink which smelled very badly when we opened the cabinet doors. But other than that, our stay was perfect!

Avoid the Gibson mill appts if possible
The Gibson Mill apartments are dark with little light from the windows , brickwork about a meter from all windows. however the apartment was well furnished and clean.
Hotels.com website does not portray the Gibson Mill appts imagery property and in not way represents the appts. The appts are great for work related stays but not holidays
