This place is extremely clean you dont have to worry of the hygene. The staff are very kind. We had a short chat on the day when it rained and went to the caves which was also very nice to avoid the heavy rain.

The staff was amazing! This was the best place we stayed during our 10 day road trip through Europe. The breakfast was delicious and the little details made you feel special. The room was clean and accommodating to 3 adults, I was traveling with my 2 adult children. They even gave me a gift at checkout.

we enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel for 4 nights, very friendly staff, peaceful place with gorgeous view of the mountains, we had a car to travel around and was close to everywhere, 5 min to Brienze lake, 18 min to intarlaken and less than an hour drive to Luzern, bern, lauterbrunen, grinderwald. Spacious and very clean rooms, house keeping everyday, good breakfast.

This hotel is located in the most peaceful, beautiful valley. It is a real retreat! The staff members are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is magnificent--variety, replenished, attentive staff. Parking is easy; rooms are spacious; soup & cocoa snacks are a bonus. Plus there are cute cow statues and a kugelweg (marble run) in the playground nearby.

Didn't enjoy the apartment - otherwise nice hotel.
We booked a standard room but due to a double booking, we were put up in the apartment. This is right next door to the hotel. I cannot speak for what the regular rooms are like, but the apartment appears to have not been updated since the 1950s. It was like an old cabin with creaky floors (could hear everything from the people above and outside). The beds were not comfortable. The bathroom was old and cramped. The apartment had plenty of room to spread out but I really think we would have preferred a regular room. The location is nice, just outside of Brienz. The dining room in the hotel was very nice and the breakfast was good.

Very friendly people. Right away we felt like home. We had a room with a large terrace overlooking fields, waterfalls and mountains. This was probably one of the best stays in Switzerland and France. We booked for only one night, Andreas and Jules were so courteous that felt like staying additional night had our itinerary provided that opportunity. Rooms are well maintained and breakfast was fresh and service like family
