The property was amazing. And as it was a historic hotel, it was very well preserved with little hints of modern touches. However, there was no elevator so for those that have issues taken stairs and things like that, that could be a concern. But the staff was kind and hospitable, and the grounds of the hotel were well kept And the buffet was probably one of the best and tastiest I've ever seen.

Nice hotel

The hotel and staff were very nice. Breakfast is served indoors or on a spacious patio. Plenty to choose from including an egg station, lots of fresh fruits and Asian options. There is a lovely pool with lots of sun beds but the weather was too cool during our stay and we didn’t make use of it. The only negative for us was that we were given a pool view room right above the pool bar/ restaurant that is open until 11 pm. We had been up since 4 am due to our flight in and desperately wanted an early night but a bus tour group were partying loudly at the bar. We asked for a room change and fortunately they were able to move us. There are plenty of tailors on the street if you would like to get a suit, dress, etc. made, takes just 2-3 days depending what you order.

It is a very noisy hotel, our windows would not close tight leaving a gap we used a towel to stuff it, and you def need earplugs. The bed was comfy though. We did find the restaurant pricing a bit steep but plenty of good options outside the property

The best stay!

We are so happy with our 4 night stay in The Ancient Hoi An Hotel. The rooms were clean and big, the pool was huge, beautiful, relaxing and sparkling clean, the cleanest we’ve ever seen in a hotel. The breakfast buffet was also like nothing we’ve ever seen before. Absolutely delicious and has every possible option available. We wanted to extend our stay because we loved it so much. The courtyard for kids to run around makes it perfect for families as well. The location is also the best, walk everywhere in ancient town, and then just far enough to be quiet at night. We will definitely be back!!

Nice pool area, although we couldn’t use it due to the weather. We had a ground floor room which was large but a little tired. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the historic old town centre and many restaurants. Good choices for breakfast, although no orange juice.

Nice hotel in a beautiful little city. Easy to walk to everything and plenty pf tour options available at the travel desk. Only two minor complaints, a walk in shower would be much nicer than a shower in the bathtub, and in our room at least (161) there was no electrical power point near the kettle. Small items, but noticeable.

Nice hotel, you can spend some time at the pool, have dinner, go to the gym, has a small store with decent price for souvenirs, etc. Walking distance to main attractions. Recommend!

This was an amazing place to stay! People ans staff were very friendly, helpful and warm. Con: electric open taxi tour at fixed price stopped at tourist traps (extra $) and stated we were out of time and needed to pay more to complete tour

Our stay was fabulous. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is amazing with many, many food options. If you have the time, take the cooking class. Ling (head chef) is absolutely amazing. She made our stay at this hotel even that much more memorable.

The property has lovely grounds and they are all very well kept. The breakfast had lots of choice but on one morning the were many more people than seats. The room we had was spacious and comfortable but a bit dated. The balcony was a bit of a disappointment,quite narrow with only 2 wooden upright chairs, no cushions or table.
