Absolutely Disgusting – Worst Hotel Experience

We were on a family road trip, and since Winslow was along the way, I chose Quality Inn—not because it was affordable (it wasn’t), but because the photos and reviews made it seem like a decent place. What a huge mistake. The room initially looked fine. The TV was laughably tiny, but I didn’t care much—we were just stopping for rest. I was with my wife and two young daughters. Soon after arriving, one of my daughters needed to use the bathroom. My wife took her, only to find there was no toilet paper. Luckily, we had wipes on hand. I went to check myself and was shocked to find a huge spider, right next to the toilet, front legs raised as if ready to attack. I went to reception, showed the photo, and reported it. The receptionist apologized and said she’d look for bug spray. As she opened a drawer, a cockroach jumped out. I literally laughed in disbelief. I told her they clearly needed to fumigate the whole place. With no bug spray available, she apologized again, trying to end the conversation—until I insisted I wasn’t staying in that room. She finally switched us to another room. Maintenance came and confirmed the spider was a wolf spider. The receptionist was visibly disturbed by it. We moved rooms, but I couldn't relax. I spent the whole night checking under beds, in drawers, everywhere. I barely slept, constantly waking to scan for spiders. For the price, I expected basic cleanliness and safety. Instead, I got pests, fear and a lack of care from staff

This was a nice place to stay while passing through Winslow. It was quiet enough, the staff was friendly and the pool area was really nice. Would not view this as a destination, but works well on a long trip when you need a rest.

Our room was in poor condition, bathroom floor was warped, TV did not work, AC did not work, bathtub had a crack in it, quest laundry machine was in poor condition. No cover plate for washing machine drain pipes, and the machine looked dirty, breakfast in the morning, no hot water was provided, yet that had instant oatmeal to offer but no water or hot water to make it. Desk clerk did a good job, she did switch us to another room based on the issues with our original room.

This hotel has seen better days. The first room we were assigned didn't have a working shower. The staff was quick to assign us a new room. Outdoor doors didn't work, the property has seen plenty of wear and tear with little sign of maintenance along the way.

The staff was great, and unit clean. The issue was absolutely no hot water in sink, and a faulty shower faucet. It was extremely difficult to turn off dangerously hot water and simply hard to add cold to temper the hot. The faucet was loose from the wall and needed to be manipulated to get water right. Just a mess. And too late in evening to have management do anything about it. Water issues...all around.Just unfortunate. And can't believe this wasnt already known to management or housekeeping.
