Surprisingly clean for the brand
I needed a last-minute cheap place to stay and rolled the dice booking a cheap Motel 6, knowing that I'd likely get what I paid for. However, the room was very clean (my biggest worry) and the area was quiet and well-lit. Zero frills (no toiletries, just coffee in the lobby) but can't complain for the price! My only complaints are that the towels were really old and the shower is just a stand-up with a curtain, no tub or stall door, so the floor got wet.

Overall it was satisfactory for a one night stay. The price is right and the pet policy is amazing. I travel through this area quite a bit and this is my first time at Motel 6. The staff was friendly and helpful, even with my fog brain after 12 hours of driving with 2 cats. I felt safe enough as I was on my own and everyone in passing was nice. The room itself was decent and very quiet. I had the full bed. It was comfortable as I got enough rest. The issue I had was with the bathroom. The floor was so worn down it was cracked and the subfloor was exposed around the shower. The shower had staining from the water dripping constantly and the shower head had mineral deposits all over it. The rest of the bathroom was fine and clean. If the bathroom was fixed, I'd stay here again.

Driving cross country I usually sleep in my Sprinter van but I knew it was going to be below freezing that night so I decided to splurge for a hotel room. The room was fine and the front desk clerk was great, however the heater in the room was broken and blew cold air all night, and the blanket on the bed was thin, therefore I was freezing all night and woke up with a cold. My Sprinter would have been warmer than the $70 room I paid for to avoid freezing. How ironic. I don’t have a lot of money so it was a bummer to have my splurge be a complete waste of money and actually got me sick. Oh well

Bathroom was exposing wear & tear. The room was quite warm even with the fan going. Temperature inside was uncomfortable to sleep. Pillows were uncomfortable too. The shoer stall was very small like a phone booth.
