I cannot fault the staff at all here! Incredibly friendly and helpful both in reception and in the bar. Lovely large room. The decor, curtains and bathroom a little tired and dated but overall very comfy.

We have stayed at Woodford Bridge a couple of times & it never disappoints. The property was lovely & had everything we needed. The area is beautiful & we love seeing the many peacocks that roam freely through the area. We made use of the leisure facilities & went swimming. The pool was a good temperature & the changing area was nice & cleaning. We would definitely stay again.

I found the location and scenery stunning, it was a 1st time experience in this location and in Cornwall itself. All though our stay was in Holsworthy drive around was a first time experience sooo peaceful and calm such beautiful views and close to get around. Only downfall being in country side location to local amenities aren’t so close by and local gas stations or shopping stores charged double the cost of daily food products which made our trip very expensive as it would take us driving arleast 1 hour max to local Asda or convenience shopping store.

The area and property are really pretty, but the cleaning needs improving. Dirty pillows in the lounge, filter coffee sachets with no coffee machine or filters in our room, hair on the bed. I booked for 3 people but the sofa bed wasn’t made up so we had to do this when we arrived. Pool and jacuzzi is really handy with kids but the changing rooms need cleaning and the rusty bin etc could do with being updated. Lots of nice beaches around, the Rydon inn for dinner and blackberry farm for breakfast were lovely. Summerleaze beach with its sea pool was stunning.

Short break at Woodford Bridge Country Club
The Woodford Bridge Country Club is in a lovely rural location. The main building is a pretty thatched roofed period building. All the staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room was a club suite and was clean and comfortable. Some parts of the room were a little tired looking, especially the furniture, the bath panel and in particular the bathroom floor but everything remained useable and in working order. The bed was very comfortable. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna are clean and well looked after. The restaurant is also lovely and the food brilliant. There seemed to be a problem with the fire alarm as the alarm sounded every day, on one occasion at 04:45 in the morning! There is plenty to see and do in the area for all interests. I would recommend a visit to The Devil's Stone Inn in Shebbear, about 11mins drive from Woodford Bridge. It is an old country inn with lovely staff, friendly locals and amazing food and beer, a quintessential English pub. There are some nice costal walks at Hartland and lovely sandy beaches at Croyde and Bude. We did some rock climbing at Baggy Point, Hartland Quay and Compass Point. Probably best described as esoteric, as is the norm for the Culm coast, with the best rock probably at Compass but even then there's still a lot of scary loose blocks to be careful of! We enjoyed our stay at Woodford Bridge and would stay again.

Excellent value for money with suberb facilies including indoor pool, sauna and steam room at no extra cost. Apartment was very clean and comfortable. Hotel has a pub attached that does excellent food and was very friendly. Whilst we were there it was closed on Sunday and there is no other dining option available. We picnicked on the balcony with a bottle of wine so didn't ruin our weekend. Will definitely be booking again.
