Google Maps placed us on the backside of the hotel where there was no parking for check-in. The clerk was behind a plastic partition making it difficult to understand one another. Parking was an extra fee of $33/night. The clerk gave unclear instructions for parking and there is no signage for guest parking. The is a parking ramp across the street that says Pagoda Parking but, is NOT affiliated with Pagoda Hotel and is $20/hour. The first thing you noticed stepping off the elevator was the smell of old fish being reheated. There was no soundproofing in the walls or doors, and you could hear everything from doors slamming to garage trucks at 0500 hours. The show/tub was moldy and there was hair on the toilet. I did not use the hotel’s WIFI as I did not feel secure using it. I would not recommend this location for any long-term stays. If you do so, I recommend taking your valuables with you each time you leave the room. There is a $30 amenity fee for WIFI, newspaper, in-room safe, coffee packets, and local and toll-free calls. And a $5 breakfast voucher. I never got a receipt from Expedia and will be keeping a close eye on my credit card bill.

Dated but Decent

We’ve stayed here several times before. It’s a very old hotel and it shows its age. However, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. Also the water pressure is excellent.

A busy night at the Pagoda

It was not the staffʻs fault. Their computers were not working well that day and about 50 kids were there being checked in for a student enrichment weekend. So it took a very long time to check in. But -- The beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were basic not fancy. The breakfast was really good - inexpensive but high quality. And the breakfast staff were very attentive and friendly. I think this is a hotel often used by international visitors and groups. For us it was fine - for people who expect more luxury, they wonʻt like it. Itʻs very convenient to the Ala Moana Center if you like shopping.

Good enough for me.

Location is great. Rooms are spacious. AC works. There is a refer and a microwave. Second sink is great. Beds were a little too soft from over use. Bathroom tub is very old, stained and pitted. Shower head is clogged with calcium buildup and shower stream extremely weak. The breakfast coupons were outstanding.

Good -The place is convenient for a stay as it is in the center of Honolulu. Walkable to Walmart, Ala Moana and the Catholic Church. It is near to Waikiki beach. Deficient - The room carpet needs a deep clean (bad odour), windows needs cleaning from outside (for clear vision of the surrounding) and lastly to have a more set of cooking utensils Overall the place serves your needs and requirement
